Eve client won't start

I can't even get the game client to start. It keeps giving me the following error, but I'm posting this, so I obviously have an internet connection:

I fixed it.

I executed the eve.exe directly from the game folder and not the launcher and it started the new patch update.

After pressing Play in a launcher, eve client gets stuck with not responding title for me. Safe mode hangs too :( Never been like this, could it be a patch issue?

Pretty space mad now.

I've downloaded the entire client and installed it twice, I've attempted the fixes described in the few threads here numerous times (deleting the launcher folder, downloading and running the launcher, replacing the repair tool, running the repair tool etc etc etc) I've even rolled back my computer and tried patching again. I've tried with and without firewall and antivirus, and have even changed the default browser as some genius claimed that might help.

I've now got two or three of my toons which will have run out of skills, and I'm wasting way too much time on this.
The program ran just fine before the patch, now nothing even happens when I click on a client.
A new install will yield "no connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the launcher" after that it will refuse to even do that, even if I bypass the launcher and go straight to the exe.
The repair tool was throwing up a refer to repair.exe.log that says "an attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions" now it simply just throws an error message that says " Bug: invalid script resource "

I petitioned on patch day, but have had zero response.

I'm resisting installing on my wife or daughters laptops at the moment, but if I do get to that, then it will probably be to move my toons into npc corps to sell off, which I shall consider a real shame after playing since 2004 and logging up 537 days

Is anyone in ccp looking into this, or shall I just consider this a last straw and give up?

I'm getting the same message, but I'm able to click the start eve button and jump right into game.

Same error here.

Also EveMon is throwing all kinds of API errors.

Still not working. There are about 5 threads for this issue, I think it's time ccp paid some attention
