Hi,

After an unrelated computer issue, I had to reinstall the Eve client. When doing the install, the verification step detected a corruption. The repair tool was run, but the installer still detected a corruption, and asked for the repair too to run again. Regardless of the number of times the repair tool was run, the corruption was still there.

I attempted a manual download, but I ended up with the same error message during the install.

Validation failed. Expected checksum is 6ca992104c883f3ec08bcc4077488562 but was 344f99ef6613dc57a61227e77f227462

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance for your time,

If you can extract the client from it's 7zip you should be able to then run the Repair Tool on that directory.

I extracted both payload files using Winzip. Part the way through the extraction process of both files, it failed. The log messages are as follows.

Extracting to "C:\Hobbies\Eve\eveonline_306979_1of2\"
Use Path: yes Overlay Files: no
...long list of files successfully extracted...
Extracting resCharacterCreationBackdrops01.stuff
Error: Data error
Irrecoverable Error: Extract operation failed.

Extracting resDX9JoveSentryDrydock.stuff

Irrecoverable Error: Extract operation failed.

I will attempt to manually download the files again and see if the corruption still exists.

You might have more luck with 7-zip. I think it can extract around the corrupted part, which you should then be able to run the Repair Tool over.
