I get your point, but I really don't want to be harassed with duel invites whenever I go to a market hub.
It's not that I think it's a bad game mechanic, I just don't personally want to use it.

What point?

I just indicated to kyrieee that you had already answered his question.

2 bugs:

1. when scanning, left-click drag no longer works in solar system map
2. When running complexes(anoms?) the last wave warps off after roughly 5-10 seconds

But they are all slowly getting turned into ( "cookie cutter fit" ) that's all good, but what is the point if you can just look up the best fit put it on and call it good? so you can go out and fight and kill other ships that have the same cookie cutter setup? will that not get boring when you know every fight will be the same> and everyone will have the same fit? do you get what i am saying? it's hard to see and watch choices slowly get ripped away from being a long time player like myself.

Exactly. Being now forced into zhit fits is no fun at all. The fun was in the freedom to build and experiment, now its "put piece A into hole A, shove dongle B up orifice B" and so forth.
Dull.

Exactly my freaking point haha, They are simplifying the game because people complain it is to hard. Well if anyone was around playing World of warcraft back when it first started and the 3nd expansion people started complaining about how hard the game was having to do this little thing or compare things or experiment etc. Well 2 expansions later you log on to the game and you don't even have to do anything to get everything in the game anymore. and i quote "just by playing you get everything"..... The people ruined the game because there was always something wrong or to many options it took to long to do this or that etc. Now everyone is starting to leave the game. I know because i own shares in Activision the parent company of Blizzard. They tried to carter to the players to keep and or make there stocks rise and it screwed the players in the end. In no way am i saying EvE is remotely close to WoW in a playing sense but don't forget money and greed corrupts and if left unchecked will screw the bread givers. Just my opinion as I have seen it from the other side as well as the game side.

The drake, why'd ya have to take away a missile hard point? that'll make missioning and PVP harder. I don't think the change from 5% to 10% missile kinetic damage bonus makes up for the DPS of an extra missile launcher.

I agree completely with you.

Simple math disagrees with you both. Whatever you may think, you now have 9 effective launchers on your drake, as opposed to the 8.75 effective launchers you had yesterday.

Missiles have/had the advantage that you could switch damage type. With this patch they nerfed the ship for EM, Thermal and Explosive at all levels and for Kinetic at level 1 to 3 versus an increase for Kinetic at level 5

Math is simple, right?

Looks like some dev played with NPC vs drones settings again. Sad

After previous patch I switched to faction Sentries. The double Shields and Armor HP (up to 2.3k) allowed them to actually have some time in space and I didn't have to reduce my DPS to 80% or even 60% most of the time. With this patch they are dropping like flies. At a price tag of 3-4M each, that is expensive ammo. Maybe I should "adjust" like everybody else and drop drones and missiles and stick with guns (projectiles?)

WOOT, after 2.5 years the change blueprint filter finally isn't limited to hangars you have take access too.

Too bad this patch didn't fix an issue that was filtered because it would be fixed in the next big release(151143)

The screen shake from missile impacts, while a cool effect, is a little too strong. I was starting to feel motion-sick from Angel Extravaganza. Tone down? Please?
Edit: Yes, I know if can be completely disabled, but I do like the effect, if it just wasn't so strong.

Any possibility that the autopilot route in space could disappear when the UI is hidden (Ctrl-F9)? Not a bog deal to disable manually for screen shots, just odd that the entire UI disappears, except for the autopilot route marker

only way you lose training time is if you failed to put a long skill in the queue which everyone should do knowing CCPs performance with previous patches.

I think that th Brutix should have had its rep bonus switched for a falloff bonus. i know active tanking was just buffed but that does not help the major downfall of the brutix, that is it 5km range with Void loaded, i know hybrids are supposed to be close range but when you cant even hit at web range there is a problem

Okay so is there a point to taking away one highslot from the drake, it already does crap for damage as is.... why dont we just take all damage away and make it a floating trash can I want my highslot back. lets not even get into the sig radius. Yes, there is a point.

With the 10% bonus to Kinetic damage instead of 5%, that's a net buff in DPS.

Also, it costs less to fit (-1 Launcher).

I get 726 DPS with my HAM Drake, About 500 with my PODLA Drake. But then again you probably don't know what a PODLA Drake is.

I myself thought this would be a reduction in damage, but after reading your post I did this:

let's make it easy to follow and assume 100 dps per launcher.

7 launchers at 100 dps each x 25% damage bonus = 875 dps

6 launchers at 100 dps each x 50% damage bonus = 900 dps

not a big increase, but not a decrease.

what about battlecruiser 4,3,2,1? Using the same base of 100 dps per turret you get:

Old: 840 - 805 - 770 - 735

New: 840 - 780 - 720 - 660

So that's a different picture depending how far you trained Battlecruiser.

Difference in damage by Battlecruiser level. - The percents are what matters here.

5 - + 25 dps ( +2.86% )
4 - no change
3 - -25 dps ( -2.86% )
2 - 50 dps ( -5.71% )
1 - 75 dps (-8.57% )

So with lots of training you can do more damage than before, but below level 4 there is now less dps to be had.

You idiot. It does the same damage with six launchers that it did with seven and you save on ammunition usage. I reckon that's much better than it previously was. Read all the facts first before assuming and making yourself look like a moron.

Jesus, this thread reads like a techblog being discussed by politicians.

You guys had plenty of warning. Drake Missile Nerf? You must be playing a different game. Caldari useless for PvP? Naga's, Harpies, Rokhs, Drakes, MOA'S(This baby got a life!) Cyclone being made usefull? HOSHI it's a nerf, I r stupid to fit ship.

My only real gripe is that screen shaking. Sure, it's nice, but after some time it gets anoying to look at. And the AAR seems a bit.....useless, but I shall get back to this after actually getting a chance at using it.

Other than that, Pro Patch.
