so ccp is there a reason a pod can warp away in under 1 sever tick?

i can lock a cloaky between his gate cloak and his mod, but cant get a lock on a pod between its gate cloak and warp?

A pod warps instantly.
There will always be a slight targeting delay.

Sounds like you're either doing it wrong or have a shabby internet connection. Plenty people manage to insta-lock pods every single day.

Also, don't lock them on the overview. Overview is delayed. Lock them in space.

Use a bubble.

Not in nullsec?

Man up, move to nullsec, use a bubble.

Learn to bubble? Oh wait, you don't want to leave your comfortable high/low sec and yet you want CCP to change the game for you.

As others have hinted, this is probably a latency issue on the part of your internet connection. It's a race to see which hits the server first, the pod's GTFO command, or your lock and point - any latency on your part is going to kill your chances to win that race.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Then I assume its the 4g I'm using to play, I here it has bad latency.

Any one know where in the UK CCP hosts its severs so I can go get as near it as possible?

Does anyone else find it funny that lower resolutions (bigger numbers) = faster locking? And that boosters make your sensors worse?

if the intended victim is on the ball, it's impossible to scramble a pod.
Anyone getting caught either had lag or wasn't fast enough spamming the warp command.

You shouldn't ever be able to do so even if it's possible because there's a lot of silly old mechanics/modules completely out of whack leading to this silly thread content.

Bubbles provide danger, and add immensely to the mechanics of PvP. They make it possible for fleet warfare to happen, make very interesting kinds of ambushes and traps possible, and add a constant uncertainty to your real safety. Calling people cowards for using them is very insightful to your own nature. You're either not bright enough to see those applications and risks, or you're afraid of losing ships and are projecting.
