Hammerhead II x5

550+ dps, 600+ dps tanked while the cap charges last, fast as hell with the gang bonus, and full tackle to make sure nothing gets away. And if you don't like being nice to your friends you can put neuts in your high slots and gain enough fitting room for more tank, a third BCU, etc.

What is this heresy? Anything but neutron IIs on a Brutix? No speed bonus gang mod in your new high slot? Why are you worrying about silly things like tanking, your job is to run your enemy down, tackle them, and KILL THEM WITH 9999999999 DPS. If your Brutix is getting less than 900 dps you're doing it wrong.

I'm fairly certain he was trying to be ironic by making an "AAR" fit that used an XL-ASB. A stealth "armour sucks, nerf shield" post.

My only issue with these posts is that the disparity between shields and armour is already well known, and I'm getting sick and tired of seeing these posts popping up. It's getting almost as bad as the AFK cloaking whine over in F&I. No offense Roime. It's just my tolerance for these kinds of posts is getting quite little, and I'm almost at the point due to all the ****posts out there that I'm intolerant to almost any of it, no matter how reasonable it is. So many posts already of stupid things like "hurr, make shield reduce speed, increase mass, and triple all shield fitting requirements harharhar!"

That is an awful fit

For one you've got no resists not even a DCUII and for some reason 3 nanos

2 you've only got one asb and those rigs would make 2 asbs work worse

3 unbonused links aren't all that great and 2 medium neuts would serve you far better

It's called CPU. 2 nanos would be ideal, but you don't have CPU for it if you want to be nice to your friends. You'll also note that I did say that if you don't have friends to be nice to you take the gang mod off and have the option to take that DCUII or other tank bonuses.

As for resists, who cares. To get resists you'd have to use a smaller booster and give up mids. X-large and surviving on raw boost amount wins because it uses one mid slot for your tank.

So which mid would you like to give up to switch to dual large ASB which accomplishes absolutely nothing besides freeing up some grid you don't care about?

Err, lol? Let me get this straight, you honestly think that 28% more speed boost/40% more tackle range/etc for your entire fleet are "not all that great"?

If you're flying in a gang that doesn't already have someone bringing better bonuses you'd have to be insane to take an extra neut over that bonus.

I don't want shield nerfed, besides sanitizing ASB fitting requirements to prevent multiple oversized modules, but I was honestly hoping that active tanking would be the best choice on a hull that is designed for active armor tanking.

It is not going to happen in Retribution 1.1 and I'm disappointed.

This is not "shield is OP", it's "active armor tanking still never makes sense on BC hulls designed for it".

Yeah and that bonus is from what ? Max skills and a mindlink? Most characters do not have this

If you drop the in my opinion useless link you can do

3x BCU
1x Nano
1x Damage Control

and still have room for 2 large ancillaries an invuln and neuts

I see these threads a lot, all the eft warrioring, and i can only ask one question

What is the baseline?

where do we try to balance our fits around to compare them all?
all v skills?
max skilled mindlinked ogb?
drugs?
3b in implants?

whats the baseline for comparing fittings?

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

So what? I have max skills and a mindlink, so why should I waste time on setups designed for people who don't have those skills?

So, why exactly are you throwing away a mid slot to fit dual large boosters instead of a single x-large when the only thing you gain is extra grid that you don't need?

The MWD is turned off on this picture. What's the problem here ? It fits. It goes 909m/s when on, 1281m/s overloaded.

found with the prophecy that if you use missile launchers an 1 repper with 4 hardners you have enough free PG to fit a 100mn AB, and can be made cap stable.
