Sorry, I am sure this has been asked a zillion times, but it has been a long long time since I have considered countering high sec can flippers.

A high sec system I have been puttering around in has a small indy corp based in it.
Looks like they have little offensive capabilities.

They into a couple can flippers, in separate NPC corps today. The flippers as stated were in separate corps, but working together.

So a few questions:

Call can flipper A in NPC corp 1.
Call can flipper B in NPC corp 2.
Miners X, Y in corp PC1.
I am Z in corp PC2.

PC1 and PC2 are not allied.

If flipper A grabs a can from miner X, and I am fleeted with X and Y, does A go red to everyone in corp PC1 plus me fleeted with them, just everyone in corp PC1, or just X?
If A and B are fleeted together, and A has gone red to X, and X attacks A ,does X go red to B also?

He is stealing from Corp PC1, so only they should see him as flashy red. If they engage the flipper while red, he will be able to defend himself (as will others in his corp). There should be no time when a third party such as yourself can get involved through these mechanics.

Thanks for the understanding.
And because the can flipper is in an NPC corp, does that means the flipper is on his own?
Or can PC1 corp expect this NPC flipper to have neutral RR available?

I believe if he is in an NPC corp he is on his own, but if you have noticed a friend nearby there is a chance of RR.

Anyone from the corp stolen from can shoot at the thief. No one from the thiefs corp is eligible to shoot at anyone other than the thief himself who can shoot back at anyone who agresses him. Neutrals are free to provide remote reps and it is likely that the can flipper would have someone nearby to do this. Remote reppers will become shootable once they provide aid. They can return fire or reship and return to the battle in combat ships.

Sorry, I have been away for almost a year - neutral RR now flags the RR person? Or did it do that before and i just misremembered?

Anda question in a similar vein - I ran a mission todayto knock therust off before I jump back to pvp. A guy came in and started salvaging. He eventually got flagged, but I just ignored him. Anyway - you can salvage wrecks and not get flagged, but If they take loot from the wreck, they go flashy, right?

spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!

That is correct. Salvaging is just picking through leftovers in Eve's eyes, considered as no harm done. Looting the wreck or the post-salvage container makes the looter flashy.

Regarding neutral aid, I have not tried it so don't take my belief as gospel but yes I'm quite sure neutral RR adopts the agro of the player they RR. I'm also pretty sure that performing RR on NPC rats works in exactly the same way, as you're helping an "outlaw".
