Why are major corps leaving their alliances all of a sudden? (ie dreddit, etc)

I was looking on evewho today and saw the front page of top independent corps with highest member count:

http://evewho.com/

all of those corps were in alliances like a week ago, is there a bug or something I just dont know about and the evenews sites are not reporting it yet?
