This guy has fitted in ECM modules on his vexor, is this a good idea as I am a bit mistified as some sites say that an ecm should only be fitted on bonused ships like caldari otherwise its not worth it?

Each multispectral ECM has a jam strength of 3. With the new sensor comp skills, a Thorax, as an example, has a sensor strength of 18. If he were fighting another thorax he'd have a 1/6 chance to jam with each jammer. Each jammer is also using up cap and taking 40 CPU each.

On the other hand, let's say he instead fits a web and a tracking disruptor, or two tracking disruptors. He'll be able to hold the target basically still and use the TDs to, guaranteed, Sharply reduce the damage potential of any turret ship against him. Or, he could fit dualprop (MWD and an AB) with a web and be able to hold something still and have all the advantages of a MWD and an AB.

Jamming could be useful, sure, but you're giving up two midslots and 80 CPU on this chance that your opponent won't be able to target you for part of the fight. Other ewar is always a better option on unbonused ships. Auxiliary jamming is best done with ECM drones (though in a vexor, this wastes the drone damage bonus so you shouldn't do this).

"I've been using the setup above to bait people in highsec, and it's proven to be incredibly effective."

"Your prey will be larger ships like battlecruisers that will think you're an easy kill, as a single jam throughout the fight will provide a massive advantage."

For such a situation I can see the advantages of having ECM in the mids. You don't really need anything else in your mids for fighting large targets. Other popular choices for mid slots on armor tanked PvP ships are webbifers, extra scram/disruptor, target painters, sensor boosters, tracking disruptors and tracking computers and that setup doesn't really benefit from those versus larger targets in high sec.

Not today spaghetti.

Those fits are awful. For the Vexor, I would suggest:

[Vexor, Green Arrow]
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Damage Control II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Drone Damage Amplifier II

Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I
Warp Disruptor II
X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
Small Capacitor Booster II, Navy Cap Booster 400

Heavy Electron Blaster II, Null M
Heavy Electron Blaster II, Null M
Heavy Electron Blaster II, Null M
Heavy Electron Blaster II, Null M

Medium Anti-Explosive Pump I
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I

Valkyrie II x5
Vespa EC-600 x5
Warrior II x5

My corp has used this to great effect, and I know one guy successfully solo'd a Harbinger in it.

I was massively impressed with the performance of ECM on my Vexors.

Winning a 1v1 when it suddenly becomes a 3v1? Overheat ECMs and jam whoever has you scrambled. Most gangs don't expect that and you can often escape.

Just think of it as an anti-tackling tool that sometimes works on bigger ships.
