Have you tried exploration? It's a little more involved than straight missioning, and there's a real sense of achievement. I've been having a lot of fun with it in the last few days.

Edit: it's not a big money earner, at least not initially, but you (and many other people playing this game) have to realise that Eve can be about more than making piles of ISK.

I've been using this loadout, which can be bought for under 5 million in Jita:

You can train up semi-decent scanning skills in about a day.

Probably because your skills are terrible! Anyone can scan if they have decent skills. And if the actual mechanics of scanning are your issue there are plenty of decent tutorials on Youtube.

It sounds like you don't even want to play at this point. People are suggesting great idea's only to be shot down by your pessimism.

Welcome to the sandbox.

Eve can be very disheartening when you aren't having fun. I've quit and re-subbed four or five times and am currently on week three of my latest re-sub.

OP, there are plenty of things you can do in Eve. But finding your niche can take a lot of time and effort. If you aren't in the mood for it there's not much anyone can say to change your mind - I've been there and will be there again, I'm sure.

Planetary Interaction

Train all the PL skills up to 2

3 mill a day from each alt minimum in High Security, Just grab everything once a day and sell it, since its all automatic if you set it up right.

Leaving you with guaranteed spare isk to play around and have fun and explore and shoot thing and die and get reborn and go to low security and get podded and come back and get podded again and go to num security and who knows what happens there since I have not ever gone into null security before and start pvping and basicly start having fun instead of having to grind for isk and.....

Point is PL was designed for beginning and low SP chars in mind.

This char has its skills trained up to 4 and has just started making 12 mill isk a day selling stage 2 items min estimated. Probably more but its only been a half a day since I got my 5th planet. And in high security too. I am told low sec makes more due to low taxes and stuff, but I am paying for 2 plexes through my accounts so haven't really felt like risking it yet due to lack of isk.

Get out of that NPC corp, and find a real corp. Being in a good corp changes everything.

Also try the Sisters of Eve epic arc, it's quite interesting, will make you 10-15 million if I remember, and will have you flying a cruiser at the end of it.

Protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. Amen.

This OP is a perfect tl;dr on why highsec is terrible. Seriously, join an established 0.0 alliance, forget all that carebearing crap and begin to enjoy this game for the first time.

I tried to join goonswarm but I didn't have the :tenbux:

Plus I'm probably a TEST alt.

@ The OP. The quoted post above is correct however. Failing Null go for a lowsec corp or hell any active Corp. I mean we hang around in low and high and have a great time. Although we are terribad at this game. 7o

Dude, he can't afford a Catalyst - how's he supposed to come up with the 500m security deposit required to join goons?

You need to have a long view when you are new to Eve. You cannot grind your skills so there isn't much you can do to be an instant success by yourself. Eventually you will have the skills to make good isk in nearly any venture you choose. But it takes time, so you need a reason to log on and play the game until then. I suggest to focus on what you can do instead of what you cannot. If all you can afford is a frig then do level 1 missions until you can afford a cruiser to run level 2s, etc. Small goals you can achieve in a short time with a long term goal that you keep on the back burner until it's achievable.

If you can't do that you better find a really active Corp with people you enjoy being around.

If you can't do either of those, then maybe Eve isn't for you.

Do that a couple times and you might find a bit of enjoyment in this game.

You mean "pvp". The EVEO forums has declared that it will not recognize: Bumping, Ganking & Awoxing as "pvp".

Also of note, the EVEO forums have been declared a free-fire zone. You may be exploded by random badposts and assaulted by internet trolls at any moment.

So never post with more sanity than you can afford to lose.

I cant afford to buy a ship and fly around blasting **** that isnt a velator

Much fun can be had in a n00bship. I have an alt who *only* flies n00bships - and I have great fun running him. In Nul-Sec. Twisted

This is how it works: I took a secondary alt, and stopped his training below the Alpha Clone threshold. I left him in the n00bcorp. If he gets podded, who cares? I've lost nothing. Ship burnt to a crisp? No worries - Free ship at next dock-up. What to do with him? Antagonize folks! Twisted
I fly him into the deepest reaches of Nul, and stir things up. I create chase scenses. I eject garbage on POS doorsteps, I taunt, I buzz outposts - Anything I can think of to stirr up a good chase. Then I try to escape. I've gotten pretty good at it - I escape more often than I fry. And it's fun. Adrenaline, matching wits, livening up some nul-seccer's day...
Give it a try!

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Didn't vote? Then you voted for NulBloc

That's all you need for RvB, they don't care what you fly as long as it's cheap and it explodes.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
