scanning outside the station

Why is it I can walk around my captain quarters, view my ship/fit, view the market, even view pilots currently docked in station, but I can not see or scan for ships in the vicinity of the station that I am currently docked in?

Seriously, based on the ingame graphics, these stations have windows, why can't I see out of them into the nearby space?

What is the harm of being about to dscan 200-400km around the station while docked.

Logic and video games were never in hand in hand.

How may I drug you with drugs?

Because dscan shows you ship names and types but is entirely useless to know who is in them?

Because it would make the game boring?

One good point of EvE is that you _should_ be anxious when undocking.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I disagree, players will adapt to a more a different pvp tactic, rather than camp a station - hoping for your WT to undock and redock after 30secs (or instadock if the are lucky). And you think station games are exciting?

Agree, while its easy to undock/dock if you know what you are doing and are in the right ship, it does make it boring.

The reason we don't have d-scan from inside stations is for surprise PvP?

A couple of years ago I heard a plan to allow you to see outside the station, and for balance make it so a scram would prevent docking.

Never heard what happened to the idea.

yeah, about that room...

do the terms "steerage" or "second class" mean anything to you?

I like not knowing whats outside, and if I want to I can undock in something safe and look, or I can undock with something unsafe and insta.

you're doing something wrong if you die on the undock without doing something to cause it

If something like this is implemented:

everyone will use BO, T3, Recons, and SBs with an entire fleet cloaked outside the undock =D
