Suggestion for ship building

So, a couple caveats. I don't spend a whole lot of time on the forums, so it may be that this has been suggested and dealt with. I also realize that there may be some detractors, but I'm curious to see how much traction this suggestion gets.

I'd very much like to see a ship built by a player have the player's name in the description, or somewhere that notifies all who sees that particular ship who built it. Just a short line that say s something like "Built by Fergus McRae" or something.

Then they can't be stacked, because they are no longer identical.

A separate database entry is needed for every unique item.

The market probably couldn't handle that either.

Taht's what I was afraid of, that there would be some technical reason that was tied to the assett management. Oh, well...

I think it has been mooted that this will be a possibility in the future. After all EVE Online is all about Corporations & branding. Well........spaceships as well. Lol Probably marked with a Corporation or Alliance name though rather than the name of the pilot.

Seriously, I don't want to know that George made the hammer, or that he is a depressed, alcoholic, widower, with three kids and lives in a council estate in West Yorkshire, I just want to go to the shop and buy a bloody hammer.

In your ideal world (and in EvE), all hammers are equal and thus you, the customer, don't give a **** about who made it.

However, the hammer manufacturer DOES WANT the hammer to bear his mark.

In real life tools have brand names printed, you see?
