I no longer have much time to play EVE and im wondering how do i cancel my subscription?

start with the account management page and go from there

Honestly...it's somewhere on the site in your Account Management but im really not sure...after 8 years of playing I still have only needed to find it once.

I have looked on the account managment page and cant find anything to cancel..

change the payment method then let it expire

go to your account management page (www.eveonline.com)

in the drop down menus above, the "game time" dropdown includes "cancel subscription"

Just as i look there the account management page goes ofline... Thats helpfull

But anyway i didnt see cancel subsription in the game time dropdown box.. Does that mean its not reccuring payment?

your payment method should be listed on the first account page along with your real name.

but that raises the question how can it be your account if you don't know how you pay for it?

I pay via paypal for a 3 month subscription each time.. But it still doesnt list cancel it anywhere as far as i see

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

It says Active - Paying with Paypal

It doesnt say Cancel Subscription anywhere.. I have checked all over

I have 13 days remaining of game time and would really like to Cancel before it takes more money especially because im no longer able to play

Anyone know the definite way to cancel? cause im not seeing it

paypal is an active service that pushes payments out automatically
eve can not request payment from them, so the control is with paypal

you have to cancel the reoccurring payment in your paypal account to cancel the subscription.

Ok, i'll give that a try

It really shouldnt be this hard to find it.. I know they dont want people quitting but this is pretty stupid

in this case its not on CCP

in a regular subscription the payment processor requests a charge on your card each month
those people have the ability to say no, dont charge my card next month

paypal people are not giving their card info to CCPs processor, so paypal is actually doing the payment request each month, and then handing the money over to CCP.

Since paypal is actively making the charge request against your card, you have to go to them to stop the process.
once you do, when ccp checks to see if you paid for the month and finds you didn't then you unsub officially from the game (from CCPs point of view)

Incorrect, i pay with paypal yet there is a cancel subscription option in the account drop-down menu for me.

Does not sound like he's whinning to me.

All he said was he does not have the time for Eve and can't find the cancel button.






Iirc, a few months back there were issues with not finding the cancel button and it had something to do with which browser you were using.
