New Gallente BC should be a Drone Command Ship

Bearing in mind that Gallente boats are generally drone boats, the new BC should be a Command Ship with drone bonuses - either more drones available (7 instead of 5), or bonuses to drone range and damage...and fleet bonuses so that a gang of Vexors or Myrms would have a raison d'etre.

There would be no reason Gallente to design a new BC with a weaker tank, and not increase the effects of drones which are their main weapons.

Every other BC will be able to fit for firing at 15km or 150+km, and you want to pigeon-hole the gallente BC to close range. Sound great...not.

Would cool if it could get fleet bonuses for drones, like at maxed skills, all fleeted ships drones would have a 25% damage increase or something

according to the extracted stats the new BC has bonus to web strength and bonus to DPS - looks to me like it's a mini vindicator , or in other words close range fighter anyway.

The Talos shouldn't be a drone boat and it shouldn't be a command vessel. This tier is not designed around links but around big guns...

Of course now that there are all of these medium ships with large guns one of the main arguements for nerfing the heck out of the Myrm has disappeared so you'd probably be better off campaigning to get the Myrm its Heavy Drones back.

Gallente have...what....seven subcap combat ships with bonused drones? Versus about thirty that use hybrids, and a couple of missile ships?

Drones are very much a secondary weapon system for gallente, just like missiles with Minmatar/Amarr or hybrids with Caldari.

Caldari has hybrids as primary, missiles secondary. Amarr has no secondary according to Eve lore, which only base on t1 line. Arbitrator with drones are about as close to secondary as it gets. Gallante has 3 secondary boats, Vexor, Myrm and Domi.

I like drones. Despite their absolutely incompetent AI and tendency to do exactly the opposite of what you most need them to do, they were the first weapon tree I maxed. I've long wished that maybe, just maybe, the current Astarte could be replaced with an updated version of the old Eos, relegating the blaster ship to the link role.

But this? This is a terrible idea. The Talos looks like it can and will absolutely facefuck anything it catches, which is exactly what Gallente ship should be.

When I missing run all I use are drone's. my gun is just to gain aggro. Not sure I would want a ship like this. My domi is good enough.
Don't use BCs much any longer but still not a very good idea.

Ishkur and Eos also have a drone bay bonus, and the imicus has a drone control range bonus

What the hell gave you the idea that gallente boats are generally drone boats? The only way that you could have gotten this silly notion is because hybrids previously sucked, so the few gallente ships that were still in use were drone boats. Thankfully, they are working on fixing this sorry state of affairs.

However, I do think that it is high time to reverse that stupid ass damn nerf that certain idiots managed to get pushed through for the myrm nerf. It had never been OP in the first place, and the nerf just worked to make it the WORST teir 2 BC, instead of comparable with the others.

Oh... and heavy drones AREN'T ******* BATTLESHIP SIZED WEAPONS YOU ******* TARDS!

edit: wait... is this a nerf coming with the next expansion or are you referring to the old nerf way back in the day where the Myrm's ability to field 5 heavy drones was taken away? Because that old nerf was somewhat justified given the Myrm's other abilities.
