I'd take the Thanny though because of the DPS increase. Depending on how difficult the rats are, you might wanna consider a chimera, because shield is easier to omni with.

I've never flow a carrier but surely it can easily tank a sanctum

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

can't we just fast-forward to the part where your carrier is getting hot-dropt in a belt / anom?

What level WH is this first of all, because if you're in one you can actually jump the carrier into directly it's only a matter of time until a C6 dwelling entity finds it and unable to jump out or see anything in local the odds you will get tackled are high. The first scouting ship into a new wormhole is often small, cloaky and never appears in local, he'll find you before you even know he's there.

If you are building it in a low level WH it's stuck there forever pretty much and then see above, it will probably just take longer. (Even if you're WH is something like a C2 that opening will allow many T3 cruisers in before their low mass even starts to destabilize it and they will easily be more than enough to kill a lone thanny)

Reality has an almost infinite capacity to resist oversimplification.

Man I've been wondering the same thing for the same space, I'm going with a chimera cause of angel damage

I've got one Chimy and still learning to fit it properly for solo rating etc, main concern is how many energy mods you need to keep the thing cap stable (atm couldn't find anything decent enough or at least that I like)
However in tandem with remote energy transfer seems to be a very nasty thing to take down.

Yep because the day you started playing Eve you were already an EFT warrior and carrier champion pilot Roll

This kind of question is perfectly normal, you might want to have different opinions before you pick the one that suits you better.

I'm just going with at least one cap rig then fit for a stable cap from there
