no... motion blur is an annoying effect that puts strain on a graphics card kills framerates, and most games the artists add them too add too much blur so the effect is pointless to sum it up, its a stupid gimmick that adds nothing to the gameplay

Motion blur would be cool. Just make in optional.

Looks like crap. Hope this is never a feature. Or, at least an option.

And, thank you for not putting in those 1997 "lens flare" effects CCP. Cupcakes are in the mail

Thank you.

According to the EVE lore I've read, the reason a capsuleer has a third person view of his ship is because a capsuleer's vessel launches camera drones to give the pilot a visual input for what is occuring outside his ship. In order to achieve this goal these drones are probably equiped to process visual data at very high speed, since details are exceedingly important to a capsuleer especially in combat. A drone that fails to provide accurate information is a danger to a capsuleer.

As a reminder, motion blur is a failure of an optical sensor(such as an eye or a camera) to process an object at high speed. What you're implying is that technology in EVE isn't advanced enough to overcome this. ^^

I'm just implying that it would be a cool effect to enable for screenshots, lore-jerking aside. I always thought the idea of 'camera drones' was idiotic anyway. Personally I've substituted that whole idea with what we see being rendered and projected into our skulls via that big-ass cable in our neck inside the pods. That way, even the graphics overhauls make sense in-universe.

And yes, of course, it would be optional. Personally I would only enable it for screenshots or HUDless video, for example.

no just no... why waste developer time on something even you admit youd only turn it on for crappy screenshots... if thats all youre using it for then why not just leave it as is and photoshop it, motion blur looks like **** in all those screens
