We've in the past stopped short of recruitment posts with the intention of staying reasonably small; after achieving op-success on that front, we are looking as a corporation to take on some more pilots.

Anyone joining ALEKH can expect a tight group of good pilots. However there really isn't much hand-holding, and fleets are only typically formed with a particular target in mind, the rest of the time depending on the corp member in question is spent; scamming, bearing, soloing, shittalking on comms, or some combination of said activities.

What we're looking for in pilots is enough of a grasp of the game (or the intention of developing it) to not need much FCing, we formed the corp with a emphasis on the idea that fleets work better if everyone in them knows what they need to do without being told. This isn't always realistic, but less micromanagement is definitely the ongoing aim. Having made clear that the pilot rather than the skillsheet is the priority, there are a few areas that a member would struggle without a good grounding in; t2 medium pulse lasers or blasters are something of a must, with HAC, recon, or t3 skills being extremely useful, logistics are obviously crucial and usually reimbursed.
