Besides the Venture is there a vessel specifically for gas mining? If not CCP get on it.

I have used a Ferox in the past, but the hold is tiny. It's like a big man in a little coat.

As far as cruisers go, a Maller decked out with Gas Harvester IIs, and Cargohold Expanders.
Mine gets me about 1,200m3.

Some friends of mine use Moas, but I prefer the sexy factor of the Maller heh.

But with Gas harvester II at 6m each and no bonuses, your flying a ship worth 5 times more for 20% yield bonus.
And it's slower. And you cant stab it.

I'd like to think CCP are planning a bigger gas harvester in the future.

Theres certainly a gap for it.

No, what am I thinking. Those figures I posted above are way wrong.
I was thinking of an old Typhoon I used to use and it's still not a patch on the Venture.
I got 2000m2 out of it compared to 5000 in the new frig.

But Yea a Gas bonused cruiser would be welcome.

Before the Venture was a thing I used an Exequror for gas mining. Back then it's large cargo bay and ability to use drones for defense (thus freeing up all turret slots for gas miners) made it ideal. Of course, Venture has since supplanted that role.

For the truly new: Exequror used to get a cargo capacity bonus from skill, before they turned it into a dedicated healer.
