Microjumpdrive & Sensor Boosting SP Question

I read something about how microjumpdrive and sensor boosting are going to be a bigger SP grind after the changes and it'd be a good idea to train them now... I couldn't find anything regarding this, so was wondering if somebody could tell me what's being changed with them.

Also, what other skills besides BC V and destroyers V (already trained with racial frigs IV and racial cruisers III) is it that are going to be changed in such a way that training them now will avoid a larger SP grind later on?

Thanks.

1) Neither sensor boosting nor MJDs are being changed.

2) the only big change is command ships. Train that skill if you want to fly them

It's all there in the devblog. Basically, they'll need more from the Leadership tree.

The whole "OMG MOAR SP FOR COMMAND SHIPS?!?!" is blatantly false. Starting from 0 SP, it's slightly shorter. Starting from already having the ability to sit in a command ship you aren't affected since you already have the skill injected.

The only people possibly affected are those that do not yet have the SP to actually fly a command ship, but have it as a distant goal. These people are actually helped since the change will remove the requirement to have cruiser V + logi and/or HAC skills to be in the command ships. They can easily get the reqs to inject command ships before the change (leadership V + warfarelink IV is less than a week, spaceship command V is 4 days, BC V is required anyways and should already be had) , and after the change, they can get into a command ship with almost no other SP directly required.

Ignore this idiot, he basically has no idea what he's talking about. Inject and train Command ships now if you want to fly them, because if you wait until after the patch, you'll have to train for an additional month or so before you can inject the skill.

It totally depends on where you are at in your training right now. All four Warfare skills to V could take about a week longer (from scratch) than Heavy Assault Ships IV & Logistics IV (from scratch) depending on recaps and such. However, if you aren't interested in logi or heavy assault, and recognize that you'll want the warfare skills anyways, it can make more sense to just wait (and avoid training Racial Cruiser(s) V . . . you are set up to have all racial Battlecruisers to V post-change, right?)
