I have found a station that has 1 person with some very low level security missions. It actually pays less than the training missions. It's kind of odd. The trainers should have another tutorial that kind of shows you where to go from there.

Am I right in assuming all the "civilian" equipment will be useless out in the real galaxy?

You are getting a lot of advise to pursue what you are interested in.
You will hear that alot.

Problem with EVE is that the real steep learning curve is not how to play the game, but figuring out what your options are.
The question is "How can you know what you want when you do not know what you can have?"

Basically, Eve is like real life.
Meaning you can do what you want if you have the skills and desire.
You can be a:

pirate
manufacturer
trader
con artist
spy
mercenary
miner
psychopathic killer
carebear
gang member
fleet member

And many more.

You can play all of them.

To figure out what suits you, I would suggest searching the internet for Eve related blogs.
That would probably be your best way to gain an understanding of your options.

An alternative is to join the first corp that will have you.
And if that does not suit you, quit that one and join another.
Just keep doing that until you find some players that are doing something you want to do.

Yes I am an alt. I see no reason to make it easy for bullies and greifers

Just out of curiosity...

What do you enjoy doing in game?

What have you tried and liked...
what have you tried and disliked...
what do you want to try but haven't yet...

2.) How to find Arnon.

Open your People & Places screen (Icon looks like a group with a magnifying glass or hotkey: Alt-E).

Now you will see a search box at the top. Type in Arnon.

The search result will list anything that has Arnon in it's name.

Find the solar system tab and right click Arnon and select Set Destination.

Now when you undock you should see a route on the left hand of your screen and 1 gate in the system should be yellow. Follow the yellow bricked road...uhm gates to Arnon.

In Arnon, dock at the Sisters of EVE station and there should be an agent for the Epic Arc (don't know which station the right one is, believe there are 2 SoE stations in Arnon).

To start the Epic Arc, just talk to the Agent like you did with the 5 career agents.

Going to the People & Places screen is the long way to find Arnon....

The shortcut.... in any text box (local chat, corp chat, whatever), type Arnon (or the first few letters at least).... Highlight it, right click, select link to solar system..... Then right click on the linked name and select "set destination", and follow the yellow brick road...

You can link characters, stations, star systems, and items using this method... and once linked, there are a lot of options (view info, set destination, start conversation, give money, view market details, etc, etc, etc)

Really great info!! You would think since you can clone clones that you could have more than one instance of your character. I.e. one in one station and one in another.

That is possible too.

Either way works...Both with their pros and cons...Mine does make him look a bit closer at the Neocom, yours is quicker.

You kind of can.

It's called jump clones. There aren't like your medical clones, they are just extra bodies you can jump too (with a 24h cooldown timer to prevent abuse) and can be based anywhere in high-sec/low-sec/null-sec stations.

Or: open the star map via its Neocom button or F10 key; search for 'Arnon'; click 'Info' button; then click 'Orbital Bodies' tab and scroll down to SoE station and click 'Set Destination'.
