Wrapping up before a remap.

I'm getting ready for a remap, have to catch on all these fitting skills I've been neglecting, but I'm a bit wary about the whole year being taken away so I'm waffling on when to actually do it. I've done up my skill plan and ensured I have a full year, but I'm on the fence about a few things. I have BC V, all frigates and destroyers to V, Amarr and Gallente cruiser to V, most gunnery supports skills to V, and can use all T2 medium guns.

1. Having AWU to V is looking really nice and feels like a good segue into the fitting skills.
2. Minmatar Cruiser V is another choice, but I'm only really interested in Minnie T2s, and I rarely fly T2s because I'm space-poor. I could probably learn to love the Ruppie and Stabber, but they wouldn't be my first choice.
3. Surgical Strike V and possibly Trajectory Analysis V would be very nice to cap my gunnery skills for the next year.

#2 feels like it's more for completeness but a 90% web for my (very) small gang would be pretty awesome. At some point I might rock a Cynabal or Vigilant, and I own an Ashimmu.

Basically, if you can only choose one option which one would you go with?

A professional astro-bastard was not available so they sent me.

AWU V, probably.

But why choose, why not train them all while you're at it?

I have been on a PER/WIL map myself for more than a year now and I can easily fill another year, or maybe even two.
Granted, I did raise my INT/MEM skills to a sufficient level before I went PER/WIL, so I don't feel the need to revisit them anytime soon.

Because I can literally taste Energy Management V. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and train that, and finish up these other important skills before remapping...

Eugh I know what you mean mate, I've been on an Intel/memory plan for a year now. I could really do with swapping to per/will or mem/per but electronics, engineering, mechanics, science & navigation have been my focus so far and there is still much more to do on them. I have a lot at level 5 already but it will take 38 days to get important skills to level 4 and an extra 508 days to get everything to level 5 :P Don't think ill be going for the latter!

I don't know whether to wait 40ish days or just move on now lol... decisions :(

I know the feeling.
In your case, I'd probably do AWU V and Minmatar Cruiser V and leave those high-ranked Gunnery support skills for later.

Take a long hard look at what you actually need at V. It'll probably be pre-requisites for other skills (Electronic Upgrades V for Covops, for example), and stuff you really use often or are just too good to pass up on.
Other than that, IV will usually suffice for a long time.

The place where remaps really save time is: Training skills to V.
Getting a skill to IV may take 1 to 2 days more, but the differential is not all that painful.

Cruiser V is sweet
Perfect Gunnery is awesome
etc.
Get the V's you want now, and don't be afraid to train smaller ranks at *less than optimal* here and there.

This sounds like the way to go. AWU V is very important and opens up a few extra fits, and "unlocking" those extra ships will give me more options during the next year.

The question with AWU 5 is, do you need it to fit any of the ships you want to fly? If not, then what do you get for training it? It's important for fitting battleships, but you're mostly flying cruisers. So I'd do some EFTing before committing to that one.

Cruiser 5 does unlock many things. Depends a bit what you want to fly.

The gunnery skill I would train up is Surgical Strike. That's an across the board DPS bump, is probably worth more than training Minnie cruisers unless you're going to just fly those.
