Transmission Origin: Samanuni III – Black Rise Region – Caldari State

MESSAGE FOLLOWS:

====FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE====

Following an emergency meeting of several boards of directors and shareholders, representative board members from Lai Dai, Ishukone and Hyasyoda corporations have agreed to fund a non-political Capsuleer Regiment to ensure the protection of shared Caldari interests in and around the Black Rise Region. This extraordinary measure taking place as several Caldari corporations, and their associated defence forces, have publically taken sides in the political turmoil currently threatening to engulf the Caldari State.

While they could not be reached for direct comment at the time of transmission, senior executives representing Lai Dai, Ishukone and Hyasyoda have issued a joint statement authorizing the creation of The Black Rise Regiment. Board members of Sukuuvestaa Corporation have also been seen in attendance at this unprecedented meeting although their signatures and corporate logo are noticeably missing from the publically released statement.

The stated purpose of the Regiment is to defend the Caldari way of life and interests in the Black Rise Region, and to assist in pushing out any Gallente operatives from the region. Identified in the statement is one Sardonis A’tek (hereafter referred to as Sar’tek) who is appointed the Commanding Officer of the Black Rise Regiment.

When interviewed for this article, Sar’tek told us, “I have been busy to say the least, trying to track down suitable capsuleers to take on leadership positions in the Regiment, source a Regimental Headquarters, and prepare our formal declaration of war against the Gallente.

Appearing upbeat, if a bit tired, he emphasised the fact that any Caldari may apply to join the Regiment so long as they agree to relocate to the Black Rise Region. He also extended an invitation to former members of the recently disbanded Wiyrkomi Honor Guard as well as any Caldari who wishes to defend his or her home to transmit applications if so interested.

Commander Sar’tek went on to say, “We fight for the State, for the Caldari way of life. I don’t give a crap what your politics are, protecting our planets and space is a benefit to all Caldari so toss your political baggage out an airlock because OUR business plan focuses on the true enemy.

Currently the Black Rise Regiment has formally registered with DED and CONCORD, making it legally a corporation unto itself. The support from Lai Dai, Ishukone and Hyasyoda in both the initial setup and long term commitments to shield The Regiment form political interference should greatly enhance the combat effectiveness of this new fighting force.

Interested Caldari pilots should contact Sar’tek directly with any questions regarding recruitment. Several key positions in the Regiment remain open to the best qualified candidates.

A legitimate question, one I have been asking myself since I was first contacted about this oppurtunity. The best I can tell you, paraphrasing one of the board members (who I shall leave nameless) is that I was a compromise. Non political enough to satisfy the Liberals and the Patriots amongst the members, and as neutral politically that they could find on short notice. Given the nature of the ad hoc committee, finding common ground on something like this so quickly is a feat in and of itself. So I shall do my best not to waste their efforts.

This is a good answer.

I wish you well, this apolitical approach may be the sort of thing needed to draw those of us who so abhor the constant political in-fighting of so many of the Caldari Megacorps to return to the State and do what we can....perhaps I shall head over to Black Rise once my current employment contract expires here in Amarr space.

Are you able to assist me in clearing Caldari customs with some of my....assistants?

That was very subtle Madame, well done! I'm sure you'll have no trouble bringing your slaves into State space should you maintain your mastery of deception. I urge you to consider monetizing your talent.

I won't enter into the insults.

But I must admit I'm surprised to see that, with all that is happening inside the Caldari State, there are still those focusing on the lost war against the Gallente, instead of fighting to put the state back to its propper shape and then focusing on the external threat. Tactically, it would probably be best to put the house back in order, even if it means some short-term losses in the war which, in any case, is already grim enough to be of little benefit.

The War against the Federation is actually in good shape, the grim days you speak of are in the past. If anything it's the FDU that is suffering and it would be a dreadful shame for us to fall so far into infighting that we lose sight of our common enemy.

I remain hopeful that the current period of disunity in the State will still be solved by words and not by anything else.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

I honestly am very glad to hear those days are in the past. Still think that setting the house in order should be most important, but I see there is much more to lose if you neglect the other side of the coin while sorting the internal disorders.

Why is it we must always fight? The Caldari... the Gallente... is there no way for compromise to take root in our collective thoughts? W-why is it we can't focus our talents into more worthwhile goals instead of obsessing over spilling each other's blood in the name of old grudges? Why not focus on the Blood Raiders and the pirate factions? What about the threat of Sansha's Nation? Or the Rogue Drones? Why not focus on bringing stability to those regions that have none?

*Shakes her head in disappointment*

There is so much more we could build together, if we could only stop trying to destroy each other. Call me an idealist, I guess...

Welcome to Humanity and the realities of nation-level politics. It can be such a dissapointment, so often.

Yet all the involved parties can come up with legitimate, real answers to their own involvements. Sadly, nothing is ever so simple.

By birth I am Caldari, although admitedly I have spent far more time here in Imperial space working for my current employer. At first the practice of employing slaves disgusted me. However it was only because I misunderstood it's purpose and actual implications. I am a poor person to debate the theological aspects of current Amarrian policy, however suffice it to say that the 'slaves' in my employment are treated well.

The best comparison I can make is that they are more akin to personal assistants that you may find hovering behind the board members of a megacorporation. Largely ignored by those they serve, however fully aware that the slightest mis-step could draw the wrath and fury of their masters.

Your explanation is rather irrelevant, you will not get your slaves over the border.

On a slightly different topic, are you a Holder yourself, or did one agree have his/her slaves available for your use and handling?

You could free them and then offer them paid employment with you in the State.

No, I am no Holder. It is not as if I have a host of thousands following me around, simply 3 trusted and loyal individuals. They were entrusted to me by my current employer to assist in the performance of my duties. Though in discussion with him he has since indicated that they would be formally and permanently transfered to my care.

I wish you all the best, Sar'tek.
Whatever some if my countrymen might say or whatever they might do, I still wish you well in these troubled times for the State and I pray for a swift and peaceful resolution to the troubles the state is going through. If I can support you in a non combat role, let me know.
In God's mercy

I do this for many reasons. I do it because I believe it is right. I do it because I will profit by it. These all consolidate into one reason: I do it because I can.
