armor repair paste and maybe hull repair paste

for the small gang armor buffer guys. So you do not require logi or station repairs after every fight.
Just a thought.

The consequences of being buffer rather than active repair fit? Have a buddy or two bring some light armor repair drones. Does wonders when you're safed up.

Yea cause buffer shield fits never regenerate on their own.

Shields =/= Armor

They have different traits and do different things that helps and hurts them in different situations. In this case... shield regeneration comes at the cost of never being able to attain the sheer amount of EHP that an armor fit can.

I am guessing he has also never seen the actual time in game this regen takes to happen. IIRC only NH, drake and rattler do this "fast". I know from clearing one corp's I was is in buffer fleet rokh before a primacy call reached ass gaping levels yes I could regen...slow as hell though. Not like I was much good during these regen's. Enemy didn't kill me....but I was basically useless as I was bouncing ss' and not on grid shooting stuff.

I also know if you have a few peeps pack a repper in the utility high and some ships where warrior II's won't be missed if rep drones replaced them the after battle repping can go faster for armour.

And so you found a situation and ship where the regen rate of shields was not useful/reasonable but the EHP of an armor fit would have been.

On small ships in small, fast fights a good 2 or 3 minutes in a safe spot will be all it takes to have the shields necessary to fight again. I do this quite often when I am skirmishing with others and don't want to (or can't) risk docking in station.

Indeed. An offline repper in a utility high slot can come in handy after a battle is good and done with (offline a plate or self repper and activate the remote repper).

it would either be too powerful, or it would take so long that noone would use it often.

If it's not used often, then it's not a good place to spend resources.

We just need to get T4 bioships, then we could fly them to a gas-cloud, let them eat and regenerate their hulls naturally :)
