In all honesty i'd feel safer eating horse.

Mainly because meat cows are fed other dead cows, which causes them to get mad cow disease, and humans who eat them get Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease. Horses are just fed grains, and i've heard they can be quite tasty.

Feed horses to cows. Problems = solved.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

According to Zombieland that's how we became zombies!

Did you know that Gordon Ramsey tried to promote Horse meat in the UK once?

I did not know that.

Supposedly it's not so taboo in France.

Should also add that North America has pretty terrible regulations for testing beef for mad cow disease. Only test one out of every 10 thousand cows or something, while countries like Japan test every single cow.

Some people think a lot of mental illnesses may in fact be caused by Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease. The only symptoms of brain damage are often behavioral.

Ok, horses are fun to ride and all, but I don't get why some people think meat from one animal is OK and another is not.

Hell, if I was starving, I would even eat chicken. And I hate chicken.

It mostly seems to be about what pets people keep, or have relationships with in some way. When someone has a pet or horse they learn they have unique personalities, so it's harder for us to eat them. But all those animals out in the wild or in the slaughterhouse we consider to be different.

Meat is delicious. Usually. I already mentioned my hatred of chicken.

People need to get over silly sentimentality in regards to pets. Although I would never eat my dog, he licks his own bum too much. See, that is a practical reason to not eat an animal.

While in the Navy and visiting foreign countries, I have eaten what some people here in the US would consider weird or down right disgusting.

I'll try just about anything food wise, and as someone who was raised around horses, I wouldn't mind trying horse meat.

I once explained to my daughter, who loves crab meat, that crabs are related to spiders. She thought this was funny as hell because she hates spiders and now sees eating a crab as revenge for spiders scaring her.

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

depends on how you cook the meat. eating horse meat feels like you're eating meat with ungodly amounts of sugar. that's how sweet it is.

Technically, they are both in the arthropods phylum.

They are related, it's just a bit of a streeeeeeeeetch.

I can't remember when I saw hare or rabbit served, and that is the problem; we don't eat what we think look cute.

I kill kittens, and puppies and bunnies. I maim toddlers and teens and then more.

what is a horse, if not a pretty cow?

i dont really mind, just label things correctly and everyones fine with it. We eat all kinds of utter crap in other foods thats clearly labeled (bacteria poop in light mayo for example, google "xanthan gum")

oh... + endless horse puns etc

That´s why I like to eat lizards, goats and snakes ...

Man, in my country you can even buy the lizards tied to a wood plank and string for easy transport!!! Yum yum, delicious lizard, we also make sausage out of this , which in short is a big giant hairy rat Twisted

You all made me hungry for a chiguire burger! Miss my homeland´s cuisine sometimes ...
