When playing Eve Online, you have to realize that trust is NOT freely given, it is earned. When given, such trust is only granted grudgingly, and then only to the barest absolute minimum required to accomplish the mutual goals of the two parties.

The Commandments of Trust In Eve Online.

  1. Thou shalt not trust thy corp or alliance mates any more than necessary. Surely do they covet your killmail and your stuff.
  2. Thou shalt not trust a Goon, nor a Testie, nay not even with the smallest transaction, for surely they will find a way to steal your stuff.
  3. Thou shalt do thy homework before trusting someone new.
  4. Thou shalt use a REPUTABLE third party service.
  5. Thou shalt trust the Chribba and honor his name.
  6. Thou shalt not take the name of Chribba in vain.
  7. Trust not thy alts, nor thy main, nor the newbie, nor the devs. For they all mean to gank you for your stuff.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.
