I just can't get past one thing.

I don't trust CCP any more.

I don't trust them not to make mistakes, like with massive changes to the Alliance Tournament for no reason other than "change for change's sake".

I don't trust them to see errors of their ways, as they repeatedly seem to feed on their own ego and "awesomeness". In the comments made by CCP higher ups like Hilmar and Zulu, I still see the air of arrogance, much like I saw with the new Alliance Tourney team. CCP seems to have a large number of people who think they know what we need, and get very frustrated and childishly petulant when we do not come on board.

I don't trust them to tell us the truth.

I don't trust them to keep up this "enhanced customer relationship" for more than a few weeks to months.

I don't trust them to consider the effects of their changes now being rapidly thrown at us like so much candy before a crying baby.

I don't trust them to maintain capable customer service as they lay off service people and take on volunteers.

In the end, I just don't trust them with my money any more.

I've had several accounts going for years in game, a total of 3 for the full length of the game, and 3 more for about 5 years. I paid with RL the entire time, up until this point. I've started spending my isk on plex. When it runs out, I think I will be done. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt until then. I should have enough isk unless PLEX prices go wild to see if CCP holds up to any of their promises in the long term.

Right now, I don't trust CCP to do any of those things. When I see CCP right now, I don't seem them sorry, I see them apologizing to us for not noticing earlier that we weren't on board with their "awesomeness". They still think they are right, they just think they have to pull us back in before forcing us into a direction we don't want. I don't feel any "change" from CCP, just panic.

No need for long winded speeches about why you're leaving. honestly - none of the rest of us care. We don't know who you are, we have no clue what you're whinging on about now, and frankly, we'd be a lot happier if you had just clicked the damned button and gone the **** away.

If I had 1 ISK for every one of these drama llama whambulance threads I've read in the almost three years I've played Eve, I'd have more money than Chribba by now.

Unsub or don't. Just shut the **** about it.

Haven't been around long?
This is about continous fail to fix anything significant for years..
While the OP kind got carried away with the wall text, I'm sure quite a few people feel the same way, and many of them probably aren't even subbed anymore. a 20% staff reduction is not "Refocusing" it's a serious concern.
Since they have rarely been able to bring promised game additions in on time and on target, the so called "Winter expansion" seems to be a big step for a company that just lost 20% of it's workforce...Oops
(i.e. WIS has been promised for 4 years, and still they failed at it.)

I think a lot of people are coasting on an unsub or plexes, and waiting to see if they can fix anything this winter....

Then we should just all cut to the chase then and unsub right now and let Eve die in spiteful protest correct? Why waste another moment of our lives when we know nothing CCP will do will change our negative opinion, our angst-filled crusade. Is that it? Did I get it right?

I am of two minds on this subject.


On the first, I agree. Right now I don't have trust in CCP, but maybe that isn't the right word.

I should say I don't have faith in their accomplishing the things promised.

I also agree that perhaps the OP was a bit whiny.

However, there is some argument to be made that the people who were vocal, were the ones that got CCP refocused on Eve as a game. By that argument, their "whining" was in fact constructive.

I guess I'm mostly in the OP's camp. Frustrated with CCP and with skepticism towards their current actions, but not really willing to drama fest like the OP and call doom.

for all their recent and past decisions I can cite a half a dozen other game companies that did much worse, even flat out lying to the playerbase.

naw, CCP needs the collective boot-up-the-ass every now and then. but they are far from being irredeemable, just losing a little focus

Well written I think and a few good points. I'm willing to give them (CCP) another chance though.

I'd like to add that one of the things that annoys me the most with how CCP handles things, is how they say "this and that" only to never talk about it again and deadlines etc.. It's like they don't take their own announcements seriously and need some serious coordination improvements.

I dont trust ppl that only come here for WiS.
That come to a game about spaceships for walking in stations.
Then threaten to unsub when they dont get what they want when the company that makes the game cuts 20% of its staff and tells them they cant make what they want.

Youd rather kill CCP so you can have your mini game.
