Hello,

I live in null in Gurrista space and like to make my money for PvP through running radar/DED/ladar/mag sites. The thrill of of not knowing what will drop and getting some nice loot is what excites me about it and I enjoy it more than ratting (although I do my fair share of that too).

I'm at a cross-roads of what ship I should be doing these type of sites in.

Currently I'm in a T2 fit raven. I'm getting about 550 DPS with t2 fury scourge but sometimes I find it a little underpowered for some of the harder sites. With the new aggro changes recently a lot of drone boats have become much harder to run/not viable, so the idea of using an Ishtar is out the window.

What do you suggest?

t3 cruiser?
a nighthawk?
marauder?
another HAC?
A faction BS?

how does the Machariel or the Vindicator hold up in 8/10 plex sites for example?

I have decent gunnery/missile/shield/armor skills so race isnt an issue, it just needs 600+ DPS and a great tank.

Myth. Ishtar is probably the best solo ship for any guristas site. Bring 5 garde ii's and 5 warden ii's, an assortment of other drones, and you can fit it shield or armor, ab or mwd. Guristas BS basically don't do any damage to an ishtar at all, and the sentries will apply their full on-paper dps to most things reliably.

Take a look (or relook) at the SNI (Scorpion Naval Issue).

The CNR is better in hisec but I think the SNI is better in null. It doesn't do as much damage but it allows you more staying power and can do harder sites...plus you aren't running out so much to recharge shields which takes more time in null than in hisec.

550 DPS is pretty low for a battleship.

Make sure you have target painters + rigors + flares to actually apply that damage.
