What is it?
Eve Recruit Manager is a web application written in PHP and marked up with the twitter-bootstrap that offers simple solutions to recruitment management.

The Features

The features are..

Arrow Submit Applications
Arrow API authentication on application submits, test it! my API is already in there by default to test with.
Arrow Review Applications
Arrow The applicant and the recuiters can leave comments on the applications
Arrow A Character blacklist soon to be IP also
Arrow Referal codes, so know whos refering who :)
Arrow Manage registered users and assign them roles such as admin, recruiter, blacklist manager

Future Features

Here are some future features..

Arrow Sync with a HIVE (Master Server) to share applications and blacklist data with allies.
Arrow Perl REGEX crawlers to crawl websites for character keywords on a filtered list of website you have entered or saved previously.
Arrow Manage referal codes
Arrow And a lot more top secret stuff!

The codebase has been coded object oriented seprating the front end with the backend decisions, the database is 100% relational and setup so that anything can be easily expanded from it.

What makes this unique to other eve applications?

It has a nice clean informative interface with lots of ideas and the ability to implement those ideas :)

------------------------------------ END OF INFORMATION -----------------------------------------

The idea was brought to me by Yamin and expanded.

The website link is here eve-recruit
The sites intro page will give you a better in-sight into the application than these bullet points.

To login, just simply go to auth->login and the login details are already filled so just hit enter.
Please feel free to post new ideas and post bugs!

Thanks for your time!

Very nice. The ui is very friendly and seems easy to navigate based on a 5 minute run through.

I thought about doing something similar and I'm always looking for new ideas and techniques.

Q: Are you planning on hosting this for others to use or have it open source for each corp / alliance to be able to host this on their own site, or is this a brainstorming session for your corp / alliance? Reason I ask is personally I wouldn't want my API information being farmed out to an unknown site.

Real nice work there. I have been doing the exact same thing for couple days now and have it pretty much finished, if only you would have released a few days earlier I would have saved a lot of time haha Lol

Anyway, fooled around the site, good build up!

Also I wanna share my ideas on our recruitment manager.

I created my system as follows

pilot sends form with api keys and additional info needed -> it appears for recruit officers to look over in admin panel -> officers can first submit reviews with a vote (+2, +1, 0, -1, -5) and a comment so other officers can see them -> some of the recruit officers will finally send in the application to applicant when seems that it's been loitered around with enough. After these background checks we can move for interview if needed and go accept applicant to corpo or deny or delay Cool

This voting step is kinda handy, because now many officers can take part in giving thoughts on the applicants application. These new modern days people carry mobile phones and computers with internet connections are everywhere, so we at least will have all of our officers checking application many times a day. I don't know if I will add a "timelock" in future for atleast 4 hours for each application so many officers would be able to see & vote on it.

Just my few cents, keep up the great work!

:P

Cheers for the replies guys, I and Yaman are the only ones with a pre-alpha download atm not sure how we going to release it yet. Thanks for your inputs :)

@Kosmoto Gothwen API keys won't be uploaded to anywhere, corps will have an option to make applications require api keys.

@Meritsa Thanks for the tips, i'll have a think about how to implement that, sounds good!

I think i'll be adding a dashboard next, containing pie charts line graphs etc of all the on-goings and countries of origin for applications and the same IP's etc http://www.jqplot.com/

Once this application is finished, i don't think spies will even bother applying via it due to it being so fool proof, i might be too ambitious here but if this becomes popular and corps sync their applicant / blacklist details with allies, spies that are trying to infiltrate an alliance will become almost impossible due to IP tracking, client browser information and their breadcrumb trail they leave the more they apply to corps through eve manager etc, they're only option left will be bribery of existing members.

Also, if eve-kill allows it, a possible future expansion may also be to check applicants kill involvements with enemies and to automatically summarise those into the applicants details.

Lets help solve the eve paranoia :)

tldr
ultimately the idea would be to help point pilots to good fitting corps based on what they want to do in eve.

Here's an idea I've been throwing around and felt Eve has suffered from over the years by not having this somewhere (at least not that I've found). Is include a matching function. Basically it would work like a dating site but to match recruits and recruiters. Each user has a personal profile that is built via a questionnaire to determine what the person can do and what they want to do. Then a subscribing corp would have the inverse based on what the corp does and/or wants to do. Then the back end would match the highest scored matches and present the results to both parties.

Some simple questions for the recruit could be:
1) What is your favorite thing to do in eve? (Potential answers: PvP, Mission, Mine, Build stuff, etc etc)
2) How many skill points do you have? (Potential answers: 1-10m, 10m+ 15m+, 20m+, 25m+ etc etc)
3) What security space do you wish to live in? (Potential answers: hi-sec, low-sec, null-sec)
4) etc etc

Some simple questions for the recruiters could be:
1) Does your corp have a minimum SP? (yes/no) if(yes) What is it?
2) What is your corp focus?
4) What is your corps 2nd focus?
5) Where does you corp operate out of?
6) etc etc

Basically with this outline recruits wouldn't have to input an api if they don't want to but have an option to include a skill sheet and public info (perhaps more) api to maybe get better matches that could be for corps that say they are looking for pilots with specific skill sets (not sure exactly how to expand on that yet).

Regarding the following:
Arrow The applicant and the recuiters can leave comments on the applications

Enhancement on this will have an Internal comments area so that recruiters can discuss applicant and not have to use another source for tracking and the applicant won't be able to see those notes.

Hi guys,
I'm currently converting all the code base for this application into MVC using the CakePHP framework and will then release.
