I really need a pep-talk!!

It has been a while EVE community, but I came crawling back!
(ha! not really)
In fact, I am rather excited to start playing EVE again (Regardless of Dust 541 & it's approach)

My only real issue is, when I started playing mid-late last year, I only played for a month or so until my business started picking up and I had to focus on my life.
But in that month I found that this was by far the most awesome and (more to the point) complex mmo I have ever played!

I had to start a new character several times just to replay the early missions just to learn wth was going on!

And it has been so long, that honestly, I feel like I need to redo those missions.

In fact, the last time I played I'm pretty sure due to work I left a mission for too long and the guy just pretty much told me to fk off and wouldn't give me anymore!!

I was both happy and shocked at the same time, as I love how unforgiving it is, but am also sad I missed another early game learning/building opportunity.

I feel I really do need to start the beginning missions again as I am ready to play the game with more commitment, but I can't do it on this character.

And I really don't wish to spend all that time training skills etc again, plus the fact I had met a nice person the last time I played who gifted me quite a large sum of cash to help me get started. (It was a random would you believe it!)

So I don't really want to lose my ship/s and cash...(and again..my training time spent)

I really don't know what to do!!!...and meanwhile I'm sitting here watching always sunny in philly while my apprehension and indecisiveness gets the better of me >_<

Give me your stuff. Quit EVE. Watch more TV.

This is what you get for free. Better pep-talk is available for 1m ISKs, 5m ISKs, 10m ISKs and 100m ISKs.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Hey bro and welcome back.

Please disregard the trolls.

First off all there is no need to restart a new toon just because an agent doesn't like you. There are tons of agents around that will help you. That being said the first thing you need to do is to get yourself a frigate and fit it. Then start tackling missions.

How?

Easy, first go to the any caldari corporation (i'd recommend caldari police force) and search on its info page for level 1 agents. Then buy yourself a kestrel fit it with some missile launchers, shield extender 1 shield booster and you're good to go. On that agent ask for missions and do them, do and redo until you have more money and more standing, then proceed to level 2 missions with a destroyer then cruiser.

It might take around a month of skill training to be able to tackle level 3s in a battlecruiser but i'm sure you'll get there. Also use your mission income to fund other projects, like exploring, buying new ships, mining (which will eventually pay for itself and more) etc.

Know, however, that there is no instant gratification in this game (much like real life) and it can get boring and repetitive at times (much like real life) but the game itself is an overall amazing experience.

Add my alt ingame (Kleus Polo) and i'll give you a few tips and even cover the costs of that first frigate of yours.

Actually, you didn't, you just didn't know that you didn't. You can run the tutorials 12 times per character. Once per each of the 3 schools, for each of the 4 races.

Amarr

* Missions are available in Pasha, Deepari, and Conoban.

Caldari

* Missions are available in Akiainavas, Uitra and Jouvulen.
c
* Missions are available in Couster, Trossere, and Clellinon.

Minmatar

* Missions are available in Hadaugago, Embod, and Malukker.

If you can't run them again in one of these solar systems, try a different one.

At the point where you select your character after signing in you can just start a new one there to do the training missions.

Alternately search the web to find the location of a training hub you haven't been to and you can redo the training missions all over again.

You should be able to run the Career Agent missions again:
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Career_Agents

If necessary, you can also reset the basic tutorials on how to move, etc.
Press Escape.
Click the "Reset Settings" tab.
In the "Reset Tutorial state"column, click Reset for each tutorial you wish to repeat.

It may be easiest to simply run an alt through the basic how-to-move-your-ship tutorials, then switch back to your main character for the career agent missions.

Well, to everyone that tried to help or give me something worth-while to take away, cheers. Honestly.

To everyone else..thanks for the laughs, but maybe you should go spend some time in the League of Legends general forums.
You'd fit right in :P

If you decide to create a new character (which I wouldn't) Simply create the character on an available slot (you have three per account) and contract all of your **** over to that character and then send that character all of your ISK prior to deleting the old one. There is no reason to restart running the starter missions against anyway. They give you a beginners guide on a number of things sure, however you don't have the skills necessary to do the majority of them. Go grab a ship and get to running your missions and nail that down first. By the time you are running level 4's you'll have a more firm grasp of the early nuances of the game and where you should go to continue your EVE education.

PS join a corp.

To everyone that tried?! You think people here only tried? Did no one succeed, yes? Lol

That's a pretty cheap Thank You. You want professional pep-talk? You know what my rates are. See above.

Special offer just for you: 1b ISKs and I put on some leather and get a whip.
