After buying one of those top notch overly expensive active tank tengus and being hugely disappointed with it and thus selling it I went looking for a more basic budget fit. Seeing active tank wouldn't be an option for that for the obvious reasons (the crystals alone) I went for a buffer fit.

High:
5x heavy Assault missile launchers II (Navy, Fury, precision)

Mid:
2x Large shield extender II
1x Photon scattering field II
1x Invulnerability field II
1x 10MN MWD
1x Stasis webifier II
1x War scrambler II

Low:
3x BCU II
1x DCU II

Rigs:
3x Medium core defence field extender

Sub:
Offensive: Accelerated ejection bay
Defensive: supplemental screening
Engineering: Capacitor regeneration matrix
Electronic: emergent locus analyser
propulsion: intercalated nanofibers

Stats:
EHP: 90-94K (With sub at V and 5% shield implant 98.4K)
DPS: 485 (Max sub, max missile except spec at IV)
Speed: 229M/S (1306 with MWD my skills)
Sig radius: 238m

Total cost around 450mil which is frankly bargain prices for T3 and toying around with corp mates in T3, BC, BS it holds up very well.

Only worthwhile upgrades are faction web and scram and if you want to fully take out the budget out of this title than a faction invul. Faction BCU add very little, faction photon doesn't do anything at all. and T2 rigs are an option, but all this takes away the fact that this is a budget fit.

So you get between BC/BS ehp reasonable DPS (for a caldari boat) Speed to catch targets, scram and web to keep them in place and no worries about loosing billions :) O and it looks quite good for a tengu :)

Your thought about this fit please and constructive ones if you don't mind, I like feedback with which I can work to improve things.

It may be budget for a T3, this :

Quote:
Stats:
EHP: 90-94K (With sub at V and 5% shield implant 98.4K)
DPS: 485 (Max sub, max missile except spec at IV)
Speed: 229M/S (1306 with MWD my skills)
Sig radius: 238m

is not worth 450M imo.

A drake has similar buffer, signature and speed, and a ton more range. It has less paper DPS but applies it better to moving / small targets. Plus a flight of drones. (I don't think your tengu has any but I may be wrong).

I built a buffer tengu for pvp. I'm a noob at this **** but here is my build anyway. Modules weren't too much on the market.

[Tengu, Tengu: 100mn Buffer]
Damage Control II
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Power Diagnostic System II

Gist B-Type 100MN Afterburner
Invulnerability Field II
Photon Scattering Field II
Large Shield Extender II
Invulnerability Field II
Warp Disruptor II

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile

Medium Ancillary Current Router II
Medium Ancillary Current Router II
Medium Core Defence Field Extender II

Tengu Defensive - Amplification Node
Tengu Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer
Tengu Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay
Tengu Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix

You can swap out the cnbcu as well as the tech two medium core defence field extender. But this gives me really good kiting ability without having to worry about being scrammed. This is run in gangs, not a solo machine. If you have the skills (i don't have awu 5) you can change out the second ancillary router put in a reactor control and add another rig of your choice. You can also add two nanos if you like the speed and a bit of agility. Fun stuff to play around with :)

Yer. If you haven't got the message yet - buy a Drake.

Buy Drake.
Lose Drake.
Buy more Drakes.
Still in Profit???
