Ishtar: Viable dual boxing level 4 boat or not?

Hello forum goers!

I come with a question. I haven't done missions since the drone AI changes. I used to dual box a raven and ishtar in level 4's while pvp opportunities were scarce on this account.

I had just got my little Ishtar trained up on my account to see these changes launched, so I got a month of missioning from it at best i reckon.

Now I'm not one to step away from the challenge of course. I have no issue with harder AI and I think I have a game plan before I start testing the dual boxing out again.

Normally I'd collect agro with raven and send in ishtar to drop sentries, assign to raven then orbit like a mofo while my raven suddenly gets +650dps or so.

Now I envisage having to fly out to 50km + from the raven before Ishtar engages so there is distance between my precious sentries and the evil HACs and elite frigates intent on murdering them.

Slower mission of course but at least my drones have more of a fighting chance of not getting pewed.

Is this about right?

For those that need info on fits.

I run T2 fits on raven and ishtar. Raven is cruise/rigor, 1 tp rest tank mids. The ishtar is passive shield, AB and DDA's.
To recap, raven warps into mission, collects agro, pews like a mofo (as much as a raven can anyway). Ishtar warps in, does nothing but run like a girl away from the npcs till 50-60km away then drops sentries.

The only thing that should have changed is that the sentries can grab aggro now. Just stay focused, and try to notice if someone starts firing at them. Sentries can tank a bit, but they won't reliably survive being neglected.

Raven should be moving to next gate, ishtar can orbit a sentry at beacon. ishtar can fit mwd, so it will be over to the next gate shortly after hostilities cease anyway. I'd be suprised if you got a lot of untankable sentry aggro.

I wouldn't worry too much about your sentries. I would keep their HP bars open and fit a small/medium remote rep. When entering a pocket I would either drop sentries to kill frigs, or mwd away to reach that range, or mwd and drop lights. The ishtar gets the 50km it needs pretty quickly. If you don't want to use a prop mod, then take a set of gardes and a different set. You won't be mobile, so if you come in close to stuff, you'll need to use hobs, then switch to garde's, which have no difficulty tracking cruisers (and tons of armor too)

don't think this will help but

yesterday i finished 3 missions: 2 serpentis and 1 against pirates in caldari ships (not guristas). Used Rattlesnake + sentries. Needed to pull sentries 2 or 3 times. Used large shield transporter once.

Looks like rattle + sentry is a way to afk these days.
