Anyone else getting a black screen when they log in? I can hear audio fine, but it is nothing but a black screen after I log in a character. It seems that if you log in and were already docked, you are fine. Now if you are logging in to space, you get the black screen.

Same here. I am also getting a lot of other issues.

1.) Black screen when undocking/jumping systems. I havent been able to find any fix so I'm just logged out.
2.) The eve launcher won't startup, it gives me a no internet connection to the content server error but I can log into eve where I get problem 1.
3.) Lag. I'm getting a lot of lag when undocking and jumping systems when I don't have a black screen.

I had some other issues as well, but that was solved when I cleared the cache files. These three problems are still persistent however.

If anyone can find a fix for this that would be great.


*EDIT* The black screen issue just solved itself. I was waiting for 5 minutes and space finally showed up while I was writing this post.

Same here black screen after logging in.

edit: funny after trying 4 times everything was back to normal again

I am also experiencing the same problem for about the last 20 minutes. I logged out in space to do something on a different toon and now whenever i try to log back in on this character i get the blackscreen. I tried doing a game repair, logging in and out and nothing works. I also tried changing the video settings and nothing seem to help.

Same here...logged in docked on my alt and was fine. Undocked to a black screen, relogged aso to black screen.

Same issue here. I restarted the client 4 times, nothing. I changed from windowed to full screen after the fourth time and that seemed to fix it.

Same issue here, I was on earlier today and it was fine. Came back a couple hours later and now this. I noticed that the launcher is very slow to respond and is locking up now. I tried a restart of the PC, cleared cache, and checked video settings no luck.

I tried logging in another account I have and it does the same thing. I'm waiting to see if my screen eventually shows up like someone else's did but so far it's just black.

Update:

I had one character that was logged out at a station so I logged in with him and I loaded the station as normal. But when I undocked all I get is the black screen. Luckily the overview loaded so I was able to dock back at the station but when I did the station environment did not load. I've got the chat windows, the station buttons and my ship controls are still on the screen but the screen is black.

Same here.

Log in, activate character and then black screen. Audio works fine.

This is annoying.

same problem. Exit menu works fine, keyboard shortcuts show notifications on screen -- but otherwise, a black screen.

Can anyone petition this in game? My button doesn't seem to work. If you can please provide CCP with a link to this thread!

EDIT: Reckon this counts as "stuck"? If you file a stuck petition I believe it gets attention within minutes, although improper use of that category is dealt with rather seriously.

Can't think of a better way to get attention drawn to this though.

Same problem here.
I log in, Undock, but no Visuals in space. I still have the neocom/overview and the sounds but nothing else, when i dock up same thing. done the repair and restarted but same problem.

Same issue here.

With 56k concurrent users we are currently breaking the all-time record so I'm hoping this is just a server load issue.

Same issue. The toons I have logged off in space, when they log on, its just one big black screen. The one in stations are able to load station environment but once they undock, the UI is there, otherwise its all black. When they dock, the station doesn't reload. I've tried cache clearing and restarting my computer, no result. The weird thing is I had one of my toons logged on for quite a while before this happened and when I tried logging in my other ones, all the issues started.

Any explanation or solutions?

EDIT: I can log in fine now. Still wondering what was happening.

Same here. After character selection I get the black screen. My pod is floating out in space somewhere.

I can hear sounds and everything, but the screen is completely black. I've tried clearing my catch, running the repair tool (which crashed twice), updating my graphics driver on my computer, and setting the graphics ingame to as low as they can go. Still nothing.

It was working just fine yesterday. Today nothing.
