Does a MWD finish its cycle when an enemy applies a scram to you? Or is it immediately cut off regardless of where it was in its cycle at time of scram?

Looked up...saw this F***ING clown dropping like a rock.  Woke up in Vylade wondering what just happened!!!

It will complete its cycle.
Same with any mod that is forced by external factors/other mods to shut off, ie mwd cloak trick, putting on hardeners before you cloak in a covert ops(helps when you land at a gate with smart bombing BS, sometimes anyway). Only way a BC is ever going to crash a gate is if it gets a cycle off.
The mod also takes its needed cap at the start of the cycle so if you neuted out, it will complete its cycle.

unfortunately this is incorrect. I got scrammed and watched the MWD cycle turn off mid cycle

A scram will disable MWD immediately. A disruptor will not.

Yes. I feel where Cage Man is mistaken is that you will continue to go faster than normal. This is due to the inertia of your vessel slowing down. If you have low mass and high inertia it obviously may appear that the MWD is still running despite being immediately deactivated. Case in point: At gate camps we'll often have interceptors scram wt frigs that are trying to crash a gate MWD drive. We see them start to accelerate then they stop accelerating and slowly start decelerating. This is a result of the MWD being shut off immediately upon scram lock but due to inertia it is still moving faster than it should.
