I’ve got to leave the game for a while soon, and I’ve got a few billion sat in my wallet.

That recent thread on inflation in the game got me thinking may be I should take a punt on some stock while I’m away.

I was thinking of those faction frigates we got at Christmas.
With no blueprints, the price can only go up???
But I hate managing orders, and how long would it take to sell 100 of each!

Or those Genolution implants may be?

I don’t want to become a station trader on return, but any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

TIA

Oh, and in anticipation of all the ‘Give it to me and I’ll double it’ one liners : there you go. I saved you the trouble.

Edit: Yea I should have said only a month or 2 I hope.
Some sound advice thanks. I think I'll split it between all of them!
It may take a while and some effort to shift it all, butit's not like I'll need the cash all at once.

I would suggest investing in our supercap production fund.

I didn't suggest giving it to me nor did I imply that it would be doubled. I'll get an applicable producer to contact you.

OK no now i'm really not sure if you're serious.
I never did get that SA humour.
But just in case any noobs read this and think it sounds like a good deal:

top 3 rules of eve:

1. Update your clone.
2. Don't fly what you can't afford to lose.
3. Don't give money to Goons

battleships, if you're gone long enough, maybe CCP will have made them worth a damn, could net you a pretty penny.

edit button wasn't workin, but i wanted to add, any ship really, base materials going up is what causes the base price for most items to increase, i don't see any mining buffs coming anytime soon, so common mats themselves may make you a few dollaras, just didn't mention it cause you said you didnt wanna sell 100 of something...

Logi Cruisers maybe?

They're still selling for around their pre-buff build cost.

Depends how long you're going to be gone. You don't seem to want to do much research yourself, but you might want to look at some recent changes, and speculate.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Minerals. Particularly trit. ISK is vulnerable to inflation. Inflation is caused mainly by the price of tritanium.

Your wallet balance may be worthless, but at the end of the day, a few billion trit is still a few billion trit, so you can just cash in on any inflation that happens. It'll still be the base of the economy when you come back.

You, sir, don't have any idea what inflation is.

Procurers, Cruisers and logi frigates. Sink all that bil into it and when you return your money will be doubled.

.... maybe.

Depends on your time frame. It's been 6 months and Procs haven't gone up to build cost because they're not commonly killed and they were the most produced mining barge in the lead up (people got *shineyeyed* over the triple-your-money thing and the low initial price).

Logi cruisers are probably a shorter time frame than that because they die more often (both in their current form and when transformed into T2 Logi), but they were still probably the most produced cruiser.

I honestly didn't pay frigates any attention, and probably should have, so I can't make a guess on timeframe there.

Invest in PLEX, it'll protect you from inflation and it's both a commodity and a fuel.

I'd go for tier 1 battleships if you're gone for 8-12 months. Especially Typhoons and Domis.

Any shorter than that, minerals or PLEX.

Genolution seem like a good idea to me (as long as you return before winter).
