Hi

If i let an account go inactive whilst I have no permanent/reliable internet supply - (the storms have really hit us hard down here in the south + the fires ....) - do I lose anything? sp? stuff? *loot* ... ships?
Talk time frames if you please e.g. 6 months no penalty ... 5 years your char is biomassed and account is FUBAR'd?

Also ... on another note... (slightly related to eve)... at what stage does it become acceptable to go caveman in RL?

Regards

No you don't lose anything, they keep everything in the account. Technically somewhere in the EULA it may say 6 months but a lot of us have had inactive accounts for 2-9 years and the characters are still there with everything they had.

Though one thing you need to do, make sure you keep the account name, password, and the name of a character on the account somewhere safe. They do ask you to type in a character name as a security question, and if you don't know the name of your character, the logon and password are useless.

EDIT: Oh, you should unrent corp offices if you're the CEO of your corp. Rent bills do come due and if you can't pay all your corp hangar stuff gets placed into deliveries? Limbo? not sure.

an informed response. Thank you Merouk my good man.
I am hoping to be back within 6 months but if the situation does not improve (i.e. i've gone caveman) then I pray to the gods that my accounts are re-activatable once a certain degree of peace has been restored.

Good news! Eve accounts can be reactivated at any time to pick up right from where you left off. In fact, we often see people who come back after years and years, to find their same old character with the same old items. Characters never get biomassed or suffer at all due to inactivity (aside from them not training anything because they're... well... idle).

Hope to see you again soon!

Just know that if you live in SOV 0.0 or have assets there it's very well possible that when you come back the station has changed ownership and you might not have docking rights anymore. So if you have valuable stuff in 0.0 then sell it or move it.

The only way to ensure retention of possessions is to trade them all to an active player. For a small fee I'd be happy to undertake this onerous task for you. Simply trade me all your ISK and stuff along with a small retainer, and I shall make sure they are all safe from deletion.

HOPE THIS HELPS MEIGHT

My referral counts for many...

Ryuichi is safer than Chribba.

Give him all your stuff to look after. It will be safe, mate.

Translated this means = "I have been busted for inhaling to many narcotics and or I have been busted for pimping. I may serve 6 months to 5 years jail time. So will my accounts go inactive?"

Also

Safe crafty m8 o7 hope to see ya when you get back.
