Hey S&M,

Quick caveat before I begin: I'm not bothered about negative opinions about OGB so don't bother posting if all you're going to say is "links are bad mmkay".

I've decided I want to roll a boosting alt for various reasons. I am aware that there may or may not be an OGB nerf at some point in the near or far future but that doesn't dissuade me. If it comes to it I'll have an alt who can fly a T3 that I can then sell or train for something else.

I don't know a great deal about boosting though and a quick Google has thrown up information and fits that are no longer current or in date so I've come to you delightful people for help.

So my question is: Is there a "cookie cutter" or most commonly used Loki fit for PvP purposes? I'm aware that Tengus are best for shield links and Legions for armour links but afaik the Loki can provide considerably nasty web and scram ranges, among other things.

The expensive lows are only required because of the expanded probe launcher.

With its own boosts 84 .3 sig 114 sensor strength.

If your worried about sig and setting up before squad members are in system use some LG Jackal and you get Sig of 130 and a Sensor strength of 160.

LG Jackal's are stupid cheap and way better then loads of DG CPU's

You can easily change a LFNJ rig for a cpu rig and use pure t2 co-pro's if you don't worry about agility so much.

I have a skirmish booster that I use rather often.

Let me add something, if you are not going to nullsec, the MWD and Interdiction Nullifier are not needed.
This means you will not chew up as much CPU and gain an extra low slot.

Dissolution Sequencer then gets dropped to Emergent Locus Analyzer which reduces probe launcher CPU use to 1 or 0.

You can then T2 all the lows and enjoy a 500m fit Skirmish booster.

I spend almost all of my time in lowsec so those edits you suggested Richard are very helpful.


I'm going to roll with the fit Ong suggested but with the changes suggested above to make it a little cheaper etc.

I think you can get 5 links on a loki including the specific ones the Loki has bonuses for. By that I mean you can have an armour resistance/shield resistance link and something else, or both of those, while still being covert, you do however have to drop the probe launcher and random completely random salvager/ remote repair system. Not sure about the fitting but I'm sure if you drop me a mail in game I can get one for you.

It is possible yes, but you have to drop all the eccm and therefore can be easily probed. Would work in highsec I guess where their is no risk but in low or null its not really viable.

You can drop one eccm with LG Jackal's and its own boosts and still be unprobable to fit 1 link, but the fit gets a bit expensive, and having probes and the RR for reping up people after the fight is more useful imo, here is the fit anyway:

There's no issue in getting probed if you just check for probes, it's as easy as scanning on your combat character and making sure your links are within 14AU of your combat character.

Also just to clarify, our corporation links have never been probed and they run 4/5 links.

I can only assume your sincere and not a troll. So I will inform you the Subsytems you have fitted to your loki give it different attributes and different slot layouts. read up on all of the subsytems and you will see +1 low slot +1 high slot .... so on and so forth.

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.
