Applied. One would hope that this will be worth bothering at least.

Signed up... Apparently i've got an excellent chance to get in. Watch me fail to get an invite untill 2014 (yes you heard it here first :P).

Was extremely sceptic once this was first detailed, but recently i've been warming up to the idea that it might work. I just hope that it does...

Applied. Got "Excellent" as well.

Surely not going to get invited, though.

It does make you think when you get that question about 'what have you played before' and then click nearly all the buttons... And there weren't enough fields for me to list all my beta participations.... :/

Also, they didn't list Arena and Daggerfall >_>

Don't forget the clothes.

Getting the latest fashion is the proverbial 'carrot on a stick'.

Meh... burned out on fantasy, and never liked the Elder Scrolls series to begin with. Yes, I get they're all the rage and whatnot, I was just never able to sit through the first few hours. So I'll pass.

I like them a lot. Lots of things to read and do. I'm going through Skyrim and I'm enjoying it immensely.

Level 42, full Daedric set of armor, perks and weapons...and I didn't even visit the Greybeards yet. So much to to, I constantly get derailed and end up somewhere else.

The game is HUUUUGE.

I think i've finally managed to do everything in Skyrim, after playing since launch. Lol

Shame the only thing the MMO will have in common is the lore.

From what I've heard Skyrim is actually built differently from the other Elder Scrolls as well, but personally I'm fine with that because I love everything about Skyrim (except the first person view epilepsy bug).

Having said that, the one item that I was hoping for over anything to be included was Skyrims skill system. Losing the typical class stigmata is what makes Skyrim great, its what made Eve great, and it would of made ESO just as great. But once again, they made the typical tank, caster, healer, rogue who will all have predictable advantages, disadvantages, styles, and forum rages.

They had something with that skill system. Imagine what it would be like if they removed the class system. You wouldn't be able to cry about mages being op, or tanks not doing enough damage; the design of your 'class' would be up to you. Granted we can still complain about individual skills but I find that to be more appropriate than crying about a class in general. Just imagine what it would be like to see a mage running with heavy armor, or a tank who heals, and a magika assassin, or a ranger with a 2 handed sword. The builds could go on and each battle would be radically different.

Sidenote: For this system to really be valid they would have to refuse skill point refunds like we do in eve to help curb fotm builds.

Everything you just mentioned is present in The Secret World, and is one of the many reasons i consider it the best MMO to come out in recent years.

It dared to be different, but everyone flocked to the generic GW2. Cry

Secret World is F2P isn't it? I'll have to look at it because a friend was giving it some raves the other day.

no it isn't
DaoC II is open for closed beta not TES ,
it is not a TES game and it will never be;
giving it TES related content doesn't make it a TES game ,
this un thing will do more damage to the TES franchise than many of those ESO fanboys can even imagine

I ve been following its development and in my opinion it will just be another mediroc fantasy MMO like there are dozens
they only named it ESO and used the TES lore in the hope it lures the long time TES fans

overall it just a sleazy attempt to cash in on the franchise

Ehr...I play it on PS3. I know, I know, but someone gave it as a present and I like playing with a controller, on my fantastic couch rather than sitting at my desk.
