Why are you so upset Op, tech is down at the lowest prices in years. You should be happy that CCP nerfed tech.

If prices fell would they not want more so they could maximize profit?

CCP basically dropped Dominion on us with a broken sov system, a broken moon mineral balance and after making some fixes here and there, they went off to work on the next expansion, Tyrannis, which allowed a handful of players to figure out that a certain NPC-seeded item that sold at 418 ISK/unit was going to skyrocket in price over the next few years and they bought tens of millions of units of guidance systems which, well, are no longer at 418 ISK/unit, and a profitable source of passive income that can be milked with alts to keep accounts plexed, and as a result we see a permanent increase in PLEX prices

in their next expansion, Incursion, they decided that it was time for people to move PvE alts out of their nullsec homes, where they served as decent targets for roaming gangs, and into highsec, where they lucratively farmed vanguard sites more than a year. they accomplished this by nerfing system upgrades which spawned sanctums in -0.01 systems, which was pretty silly, but rendered 90% of nullsec worthless for line-level income, shortly before adding an income source to hisec that generated more than sanctums with significantly less risk

the expansion that followed, Incarna, added a cash shop for vanity items, requiring a lot of new assets to be added to the game, and they failed to deliver on their promise of multiplayer station environments in favor of making virtual pants and monocles

last summer, after putting Raivi to work immediately after Alliance Tournament X, they finally got a dev to spend some time working out an alchemy formula for platinum technite in order to prevent tech prices from being kept high by our cartel

hopefully in 2-3 more years we'll see some more changes made to T2 components

tl;dr: blame space barbies

well the cost of maintaining them would be difficult. Remeber you have to cross the entire universe to get to them, meaning you need sov for JBs etc, meaning in the end it wouldnt be worth it.

Nerf capital projection. For every max range jumped with caps 1 hour CD for the next one. Simple solution for most of 0.0 problems

no one alliance holds enough tech to pull trillions per month, all of the tech in the game generates maybe 2 trillion isk per month

Andski, good post...and honestly i wouldnt blame any alliance taking advantage of this.. of course you would. This is about the game, the balance of it and whats good and bad for eve. and this is bad for eve, everyone knows it. People can argue with silly posts as much as they like. The bottom line is, its wrong.

oh look, another one of these boring threads.

if you didn't want goons taking all the tech moons then you shouldn't have let them.

oh another pointless post. ill go grab NC., Nulli, Evoke, BL to take them ...

Oh Wait.. that didnt work out so well did it...

how is it pointless? you, as a player, let the goons take them all to begin with. you can't stand by and do nothing, and then complain when you don't like the outcome. if you dislike an outcome you should have acted before the situation came to pass.

it's like complaining that the road you live on is icy when you couldn't be bothered to go out the night before and spread some salt and grit around ready for the morning.

CCP want for players for their own to resolve this issue - for last couple of years.

And it is getting worst.
The only way is limit rich in their blue null hole - as their supper fleets can be within minutes every where in eve.
Because of this we have blue null , and 20k man alliances throwing on each other cruisers, frigates and noobships because NIP is most important thing in eve.
No one can touch them - as within hour they can over bloob their opponents with (super)capitals and return to their home.

If you want to change something please support this kind of ideas.
THat will limit the force projection , allowing for normal battles to take place.

We are talking about a few controlling eve, not all the big alliances
Why should they own all the moons in low sec as well?

the answer is the same as always, because they have the most power.

Rather ask Yourself why all the oh so valuable tech moons are concentrated in the north.

I agree, and it should be much more evened out, should be tons more tech in south now, ccp knows this a problem, so why havent they added the moons? because its completely unbalanced.

Welcome to Eve, either you buy what you want or take it by force. The Goons are waiting *points on the map* out their waiting for someone to try to take it away.

So either join a corp in an alliance and talk them into a war and take the moons or go home.
