Problems with credit card.

Hello everyone , new player here.

I started this trial account and after 12 days im ready to buy the game, or so i intended, but when i tried to upgrade my account to full (was trying the 3 month offer) i get an error menssage that says that they cant authorize the payment.

After cheking everything twice, i tried again with the same results. Then i try to use the one month offer, no luck either. Tried to use internet explorer, no, cant authorize either. Write the data without capital letters, no, wont work either.

It is the same card that i used to pay World of Warcraft, where it was accepted in one go, also i checked the status and everything seems ok, so i dont really understand why it isnt workming for eve.

My trial is due to end soon, and i really wish to keep playing, but i only have the credit card as an option (tried to get isk for a plex, but realized soon that it would not be possible) .

What can i do? should i keep trying with the credit card or there are other ways? is there someone i can talk to that can help me with this issue?.

1.) You can try and buy an ETC from official resellers like ShatteredCrystal or Battleclinic.

2a.) You can petition it to CCP
2b.) You can ask your CC company.

both of the things mentioned in point 2 will likely take more then 2 days to resolve as it means either/both companies will have to do some research on the error and how to fix it for you.

I had this happen once awhile back. Petition and they should fix it...

And don't try again unless they tell you to...

1. Petition with CCP, category Billing, they can check if it's a problem on their end.

2. Call your credit card customer support number and verify that EVE Online does not get blocked by the credit card identity theft protection system. A lot of credit cards have it, where they either send you an email, or call you at home, or there's a web-based authorization form that you have to enter a password/pin to actually authorize payment. If this is the first time CCP Games / EVE Online bills your credit card, they may autoblock it by default cause it's overseas and they don't know what's going on.

As indicated above, your best bet is to file a petition under the Billing category. Those get prioritized and sent to the right people immediately. It might take a little while to solve, though, since CCP has to confirm what's going on and communicate with your credit card company. It would also not hurt for you to contact your credit card company yourself and find out why that particular transaction can't go through (if your credit card still works for other transactions).

The second part of this is correct. My accounts are auto withdrawel, but done prior to Homeland security new rules. Call your credit card company or bank (I use debit/credit card) and have them authorize it for CCP...its an out of country card trans...or I bet you are or might be using a credit card gift card......also not allowed in the US for out of state transactions Homeland security BS....

As Andriea said I had this problem called my credit card company and they got it fixed over the phone.

Thanks a lot for all the sugestions!

I already made a petition to CCP under billing issues and await for their response, i hope they can do something about it for me to be able to buy the game soon. If it fails, ill use the ETC option that was also suggested, either way i hope to continue with this and join the game as soon as possible.
