With all the players badgering CCP for POS improvements, I have an additional suggestion: To increase the population in null, why not combine CQ/social rooms (for example, bars/pubs) with the POSes that are anchored in null space?

That way, you can get high sec people who want more avatar interaction to move to null, while also giving pvpers more people to fight with. Granted, the short-sighted, bitter players might scream about diverting any resources to WiS, but imagine the increase in both the null population and number of fights.

I'd rather they give us all space suits and guns and let us visit friendly neighbor POSes.

Meaningful gameplay. Space-barbies are useless unless you can stab them in the eye.

CCP has no sense of humour.

Absolutely. Fighting in null sec POSes would be a mechanic, perhaps as another way to gain control.

We are just plain doing it wrong. Don't need a fix or a change to nullsec beyond the players in control. Don't even need to know mechanics behind it.

The problem is a social one.

why should I trade being trapped in 1 room of a station for being trapped in 1 room of a POS?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Because it wouldn't be just one room?

WiS = step-child of World of Darkness. Which is frozen. Because CCP doesn't have enough resources to develop it while Dust isn't finished. Until Dust release there will be no WoD development. Also Dust need PC port / version.

So this discussion is irrelevant for a year or two. CCP doesn't have resources for WoT/WiS.

And it's sad. Because I'd rather prefer to queue something like "Light Machine Guns V" instead of useless (in my high-sec adventures) "Fighters V" and switch back to EVE from Planetside 2 and Defiance beta.

The game has a scifi niche here and spaceship barbies doesn't fit it nearly as well as flying in space ships so I doubt this will happen.

E: It's better if they balance the game and don't concern themselves where people are/move because you can't quantify a highsec player vs a lowsec player vs a nullsec player vs a wh player.

What happens if the POS dies with people inside it?

Nice one, reminds me of the one with the free Raven give away in a trade hub trick where all the pods huddle around right before smartbombs start going....oh you little eve devils you.

OP....not sure how that can work, but my feeling is that it won't do a thing for increasing the population in Null, a carebear is a carebear....I speak from experience Big smile.

Yes! All null woes can be fixed with the ability for a bunch of dudes to get together and emote each other.

Wow are you living in fantasy land. They haven't even STARTED doing anything with POS's. CCP's latest post about it suggest they don't even know what needs to be done to redo the POS system yet!

I too want to sit inside a bubble fapping with guys dressed up like girls.
Meanwhile, some punks are outside stripping my ship!

The voices say NAY!
