Skillpoint Accumulation for those out of game

Im a member of the armed forces (though this situation can apply to many who are not i suppose).

Regularly I have to be Out Of Game for months on end and obviously miss out on training things when the natural queue ends. This generally means that Im left having to unsubscribe from the game for the period im away - this is something id rather not do but id still like to find a way of keeping everyone happy.

I wanted to perhaps suggest a system of "Skill point parking". Where skill points could be accumulated at the same rate to be spent on return from the parts of the world where EVE access is non-existent.

this would involve to my mind:

- Emailing EVE support with the intention to "park" my account(s)

- Person goes to wherever to do whatever for the months on end

- On return character logs in and emails support to "unpark" the account

- Support would then raise some of sort of "voucher" which would entitle the person to spend the skillpoints they would have accumulated in the period they are away.

- This voucher would be based on the skillpoints accrued using the characters attributes and implant set at the time of "parking"

- Person spends points as they see fit.

The way I see it this would do away with any need for unsubscribing from the game and thus feel left out on return from wherever.

Everyone wins??

A time limit of 3-6 months could be applied?

With some very basic checking support could determine the "genuine nature" of the petitioner - in my case (and im sure many others) a player thats active within the game.

Point here is I'd still be paying my subs and lets face it I could make any number of titan alts and training them up with no work if im willing to pay for more subs ;)

I'm also in favor of this, as i have to work quite a lot in remote areas, and leave the game for periods of time to make paying for my sub pointless as I will not be on to shift skills. Paying while i'm not playing is fine, but only if skills are being trained. On occasion i can come back and play for a few days, but have to reactivate my account. Theres alot of time lost that could have been training skills, and it would have been worth the subscription to be up to date instead of falling behind.

of course i would expect this for multiple characters as well. perhaps a confirmation phone call would even work.
I can't see how anyone would lose with this, I'd even accept skill points at an unimplanted level.

Get some Eve. Make it yours.

Counter proposal: Your character buys the skillbooks, and parks at a station where the books are local to the character for access purposes.

CCP, as you suggested, parks the character, and enables a queue you selected. It will run for the duration of the queue, and absorb the skill books at the appropriate points.

Restrictions: The account cannot be logged into for play, CCP will have the password locked out for the duration.
This would be a prepaid service.

Length of queue is however long you need it to be. If skill queue completes before you contact CCP for restored access, the character is restored to normal status, (password resett to your familiar one), and the character is sitting idle.

If you should need additional time, the account must be prepaid to cover the duration of the extension, and the books must already be present. (If you foresee this happening, buy extra books to train)

Otherwise, start picking skills to level 5 that you already have at lower levels.

I could see it being used if perhaps you just got the basic 1800 points or whatever once your queue ran out. I can't actually see them putting much dev time into fixing issues for those not actively playing the game though, even if you are still paying a sub.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

char farming is the issue......

You have a legit reason to be away. It be the 100's of others who don't who make this not possible.

There is no way to verifty the needs of the petitioner as well. OP sec your big hurdle. If you can't tell people close to you in rl when you are leaving, how are you going to send CCP your orders showing a date? PII....how do you prove in the military when you can't send a copy of your ID? Even better, how is CCP supposed to know a legit ID from a fake one. A one sided B&W copy of the US DOD CAC is not the hardest thing in the world to photoshop up. the above would be needed to avoid people requesting this stuff not military associated.

Find a friend/family member/spouse to keep up skill trains. Blah blah eula....CCP imo has this inplace for when you lend out an account and they rob you blind. You chose the wrong person, thats on you and not them....and they have the eula as a way to cover thier ass legally. If your trusted person puts them skills in, does not rob you, you come back and take control of the account CCP is not losing any sleep over it I imagine.

AFK extended period character farming.... yeah, I guess that is a consideration.

I just figure it lacks priority as a possible issue, what with character farming being done by attentive players simply updating the regular queue, etc.
