Iv finally got BC to 4 with all the racial frigs to 4 and cruisers to 3 for the planned change to the BC skill, now that Im training it to 5 it figures out to finish on Feb 17. My understanding is that the skill will be broken on Feb 12. So my question is, is it still worth training to 5 and if so whats gonna happen when the skill splits, will I lose my progress?

The skill split will not happen until SUMMER as posted by ccp

oh thank goodness, I thought I ran out of time. still Id like to know how that would work if possible, the split while half way thorugh training that is

They have only said that only whole skill levels will get split. No official word about leftover SP. The two most likely candidates are (a) you'll lose them, or (b) you'll get them back in unallocated SP.

So the skill change will happen with the expansion release that is currently scheduled for May then?

Fixed. You need {Racial} Frigate IV to take any of the [Racial} Cruisers skills.

Nope, you're out of time. You'll lose all those points entirely, you need to switch to training another skill so you don't waste any more sp.
