I never once mentioned T2 hulls. Resists apply to T1 hulls, just not as much. If you are flying with 1, 2 or 3 active hardeners on an armor tank, then EM is your lowest resist. If you are using omni tank, the difference is minor due to stacking etc.

I'm not arguing it's less damage, simply saying "It's not as big a deal as people make out". The avatar still rocks. And has insane EHP - which makes a big difference in capital fights.

Any titan going to a supercap fight gonna fit 2 corpum eanm, dcu t2, and core x hardnener of each type. avatar will most likerly fit a RAH aswell.(optionally if hes old school a energized layer).
Your argument it flawed or assuming the enemy titan pilot have no clue how to fit/fly a titan.

A better question is why you want a titan. If you have some glorified dreams of drive by DDing carriers and shitting on subcap fleets, I patiently await your lossmail on eve-kill.

For the more sane, bridging is the same across all titans, and the tanks on both are pretty good. In any actual cap vs cap fight it'll be a game of rock paper scissors with resist holes, but you're still rocking the tank of a POS so who really cares. You should have reps anyway; you weren't planning on exiting a POS alone, right? Pick which one you'll waste less money/training on, because it's just a giant jump bridge right now.

If you want a ship that's actually useful, pick up a supercarrier, or stick with standard caps that can dock.

If you want more info, I have a pretty long post at the end of the "titan changes" thread stickied in this very subforum.
