hey Everyone,

Umm this is my first post in Eve forums so consider me a major newb. But about a few days ago, when i logged in to my Eve, i noticed these weird graphical problems. Like all the settings in my graphics section were turned to high but the graphics themselves were of very low quality, the textures look fuzzy and muddled and the whole nebulae look all pixelated. Now i tried various times to tinker with the graphical settings but i don't know what to do. I un-installed and then re-installed my eve client but that didn't solved the problem either. I just finished submitting the a petition but i also that maybe some one here might know what's going on. I am also including links to some pictures i took inside the game so you guys can check them out.

Are your video card drivers up to date?

Yeah. I just checked them last night. Its a AMD Radeon 6770. I mean I am playing Crysis 2 on ultra high settings and i am having zero problems. I have no idea what is going on.

This isn't a tech support forum.

You have tried setting everything to low, did you ?

Shaders, shadows disabled, HDR disabled, Preprocessing disabled, textures to low, etc ?

And then ... closed the client ... reopened it ... logged in, jumped into your character and set everything to high again ?

I've heard eve is crashing with the new catalyst update (13.1). Maybe it has something to do with your problem too.

CCP also recommends turning off Catalyst A.I. in your video card control panel for AMD cards

I'd give that a go and see what happens.

12.10 is actually the most current update and it's working 100% perfectly for me.

Thread moved to Issues, Workarounds & Localization. This is the appropriate subforum for tech problems, and there are likely more people willing to help here than in General Discussion.

Yes. Everything. I dunno what to do here. Maybe I'll try turning off that Catalyst AI thingy.

OMG, Yes!!! It totally worked. I mean I just uninstalled my AMD Catalyst software and I was just about to re-install it before i decided to give Eve another go and see what happens and its totally fine now. Thank You so much. i would never would have thought about that Catalyst Software.
