Slight correction:
The T2 shield fit even with a meta 4 LSB needs a 3% CPU implant, or a rig.
With an Overclocking unit, a T2 booster fits with AWU IV.

"We want PvE activities to require active participation and mirror PvP more closely." Stacking penalty for NPC EWAR then? Lock range under 9km from over 100 in a BS is not fun. Nor is two NPC web drones making me crawl 10m/s. PvP SW-900 x5: 75m/s.

Personally, I wouldn't go with a MJD domi. The best drones to use on the domi are guarde 2's, which have a max range of about 50km (might still hit at 60, but minimal beyond that). That means you need to switch to either wardens or bouncers, both of which do noticably less dps. Additionally, to do damage at that range you are now dropping guns in order to fit drone link augmentors, which again reduces your dps. Admittedly, all this does reduce your need to tank, but when it is a case of dropping from 1400dps to about 800dps (or less), I'm not sure that it is worth it.

Now, if you are just worrying about surviving missions, you probably need more skills before you should be flying the gank domi anyways.

My plan for having an MJD was to get out of dodge if for some reason, the rats get too close for whatever reason (including my screwup) and I need to create space fast. Again, that is the theory. The practice may be different!

I played with a fof mjd rattlesnake last night, imo the main point is to do the mission as afk as possible. incoming damage at ~100km is very minimal and your sentries can hit back with 2 dla. although even just fitting a mjd would give you a great gtfo button, sit out 100km pick some stuff off (real easy since they just fly straight at you), regen some cap/shields, and mjd back into the action

and with a ~300 sustained tank you should be able to brawl it out with a gank ship.

hell looking at navy domi prices in jita it might be worth picking one up. I'd rather have 4 crappy railguns than 4 crappy missile launchers. I'll have to play with fits.
