It's early.

I make coffee, log on and notice a friend of mine is on MSN.

"What are you doing up this late/early?" I say.

"have you looked outside?"

"/goes to balcony window...omfG"

Says it all.

♥ snow.

Yep, no work for me today, car won't budge. As soon as it's light, I'm embracing my inner 10 year old and making snowmenBig smile

Anyone on here in south Wales? It was meant to be really bad there.

Snow is evil.

My hometown's name (Kitimat, British Columbia... on the north coast near Alaska) is a native word meaning people of the snow. I've seen snow up to the power lines and houses completely buried. Trust me it isn't pleasant.Shocked

Yeeee!

Well in Great we don't really do extreme weather Britain, it's a bit of a novelty. We haven't got that much, but because it doesn't happen very often we're not prepared, so small amounts bring the country to a stand still. So to us it's fun.

Approximately the 57th snow of the year here in Canada today, and it's just getting started.

Last few winters relaxed everyone with light snowfalls, then suddenly buried everyone in the latter half of January. Any day now i'm going to wake up to 10 foot snowdrifts. Ugh

My dog saw his first snow in November. He was born in hot Mississippi and brought to New York by a dog rescue group. He went nuts leaping around in it, eating it, and barking at it when it clumps fell off of tree branches. He stayed outside for an hour playing around. I guess your paws don't feel the cold when you're having fun.

We've had quite a few storms since a little before Christmas. Sometimes when I'm plowing the road I decide to have a little fun and start doing cookies with the tractor.

This last week we have been hit with a massive cold front and we've been dropping into the negative numbers at night.

It would be a National Emergency, but the comedic duo in charge dont know how to press the big red button.

In England half inch of snow causes as much disruption as that, we don't handle weather to well.

It rained all night last night.

Holy Ice Batman. It took me over a half an hour to scrape my windows and a neighbors and both of my scrapers received fatalities. Then what is normally a 20 minute drive to work turned into another hour. Didn't see any wrecks but officers were blocking off certain hill roads (the ones that have a stop light at the top which would cause people to have to stop on the incline).

And here we are, 9 days later and the snow has melted, and currently I am experiencing a thunderstorm, complete with flashy lights and hail.

Seriously, wtf!

Still light snow practically every day, which is how i prefer it. Easier to shovel. Big smile

We got a snow one day here in Alabama, that was a fun trip to the grocery store... I needed booze

Of course everyone's freaking out about the 3" (5.7cm) of snow on the ground and were rushing to get supplies but I got to go through the express lane Cool

I grew up in Colorado and have been missing the snow. Got our first snow in Virginia in Richmond this last week. Missed 1 day of school and work was closed for me. Loving life with these wimps out here on the east coast! In Colorado we would have 3 feet of snow and the teachers were like "Fire up you're damn snowmobiles and throw the chains on the school bus schools still on mofos!"

These may as well be farts in the wind but I have had a few beers since the start of this thread.
