As the topic says. Man, I am lost as hell. I re-subbed the other day.
I have 45 skills, 2,992,606 skill points and I have a Rupture ship
I am .07 security

Does anyone have a clue what I might have been doing? I know I didn't venture in low sec areas. I do remember mining quite a bit. My Corp is just me and an alt, everyone is gone I used to play with.

What would be my next step? Can I train using my ship? The game looks totally different from what I remember.

I really need some guidance. I know I am not a new player, but I feel like one, that's why I posted here.

Thanks all

How would I (or anybody) know what you did about 9 years ago.P

My suggestion:

Make another character you on your account if possible or just make a totally new trial account. Use that alt to run the new and improved tutorials to get you back into the game.

Could I run the tutorials with my main, or I am too educated?

Yes, your main can do the tutorials since you've been gone quite a long time.

Completing those should give you somewhat of an idea for a career path. Good luck and welcome back to Eve.

9 Years ago??? Well, if you're anything like me you had more hair on your head than your buttocks which made you more attractive to the ladies and you didn't do much more than download the game between dates with chubby sluts?

I hope that's a proper welcome back after 9 years and a crazy question to this gang. P

i do not underastand what the person above me is saying, but i also would advise you to run the tutorials to get accustomed to the game. afterwards, when you have decided what you want to do, you can look for a corp with similar goals and ask your corp mates all the silly questions.
or come back here, we don't bite either.

Honestly, leave your alt in their corp and join a player run corp.

Study up on the game as it is -- too much has change to try and recap it all and you've already said you don't even remember what you did 9 years ago (shocker there isn't it? I used to play EQ -- I doubt I'd recall much about how it works if I tried it again and I played that game for 4 years)

As for "steps to follow" - do the tutorials. They are more than just "nice". Follow through the Sisters of EVE arc and get a feel for the game.

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=6310&find=unread -- helpful links for new players.

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=16943&find=unread -- an old guide/instructional page on finding player corporations and such -- as a new player.

http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Main_Page --It's got a lot of info on various aspects of the game - fitting suggestions, how and why on things, etc.

Namely: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Eve_University_Class_Library

One area I'd suggest paying attention to "messing with your head" - about implants, booster pills, remaps, etc. Understanding what all that stuff is about is tricky and very valuable to newer players.

It's open to the public. The library are recorded classes / Q&A's on various aspects of game play in EVE. Tons of good info from across all aspects of the game.

Again, the biggest suggestion is for you to join a player run corp. There are a lot of them and you'll want to research it to find a "right fit" style group.

Note: The E-Uni stuff... CCP even linked to the wiki for it's downtime page for a while -- crashed our friggn wiki with traffic during server downtime until Kelduum upgraded it... *snicker*

It's a good group to help new players but there are others too. It's just that the wiki designed to help newer players learn about this game. A more specific intent/goal than Evelopedia - which is more an encyclopedia of info on the game than having "guide" style info for new people.

Lol, welcome back, as others have said the game has changed considerably in 9 years, the amount of out of game support is astounding, and 99% of it is provided by players. You should be able to run the tutorials on your main, they're pretty good for standings and free stuff as well as refamiliarising yourself with the mechanics. They no longer consist of "here's a rubix cube, now go forth and fornicate with yourself", they're pretty informative and will give you a base to work from.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Funny. I played back in 2006 for a while. Took a break. Came back in 2010 for a month. Now I'm back again.

All I did was mine and build stuff. If I recall someone very high level came into a low level area and killed me - twice. Lost both my ships and they were the best mining ships you could get at the time. Haa.

Reading is good.

But as others have said, do the tutorials and the SoE Arc. That will take you through most of what is on offer and somewhere along the line your memory might click in and remind you of what you were doing 9 years back.

Or you might find something you never considered before that takes your fancy . . .
