Why is it that loans and similar thing are post here in market discussion when they are not discussions about the market. there needs to be in a category of its own like want and sell orders are their own things. about two thirds of all post in this catagory are for loans or shares. we need to use this category for actual market discussion.

I'm not a low-sec roamer, i just need to blow off some steam every now and then.

This forum is already plenty slow (first page goes back 48 h), without splitting it into smaller parts. There just isn't that much new stuff to discuss about the Markets these days.

Oh, there would be. There's just a lack of audience willing to listen to new stuff, much less willing to try it.

Occasionally they do turn into discussions.

Something that is somewhat frowned upon in the regular sell/buy forums (it's usually "make a bid or shut up" style)

So (as has been suggested) moving them to there, would null the possibility of those occasional discussions.

Personally I like them here - Not having to sort through all the other crap in the buy/sell forums
Allowing me to very quickly peruse the pure ISK investments schemes.

And as already mentioned - This forum is slow enough as it is P

Personally I feel this forum is slow as it is. If you took away the offerings, you'd be left with manipulation attempt threads. With the occasional market discussion type thread you speak of. There just isn't enough interest in the player base to have very in depth market discussion.

Sad to say but I also somewhat like this forum, it has it's own little brutal community.

It was always my impression that people ignore this forum because it is a cesspool of terrible copycat scam attempts.

"If we didn't have all these gangs and drug dealers on our streets, there wouldn't be anyone left".

Pretty shallow reasoning.

Personaly i think that placeing them in their own thread would encourage more constuctive discussions because people would be less turned off bu all the scam crap.

For me at least, if it was not for the offerings in this forum I probably wouldn't spend anytime here. Once in a while I stop by some other non offering threads only because I happen to see something different, or interesting that might be worth reading.

There really isn't so much to discuss about the market given the current players interests. The majority just don't care. While it might encourage a a small pocket of players to discuss more, it will be even less active than this forum, which is already horribly slow. The separation of the sell orders forum and character sales is a perfect example of what this forum is not. It was overcrowded, and the first page was all recent posts within the last 10 minutes. In order to browse the current sales you had to browse the first 10-15 pages.

Here, in the MD forum. All you have to do to see the recent posts, is to check the first 8 threads of the forum. Everything after that is old. There simply isn't any demand for yet another sub section. The best way to get a sub forum is to create demand and the need for one. If we created a sub forum for every specific type of posting, the forum would end up having hundreds of sub forums, most being completely dead and inactive.

Just my 2 cents ofc.Blink
