CCP, What can we do to fix this annoying closed socket nonsense?

What are the steps to fix the socket closed error?

I've looked at threads and people are starting to sound like a broken record constantly saying "its your ISP". Doesn't really help much.

Are there things I can do that have reported fixing this problem? Any ports to forward? Firewall? etc?

Edit: I used to never have this problem before... Then it happened every once in a while which was very annoying...

Now its non-stop "socket was closed" over and over again every 5 minutes. CCP help.

Its been over 2 hours and I still get disconnected after 1 minute of logging on.

This is really getting frustrating.

This has been going on for months for people. It is NOT your ISP as people all over the world are getting the same problem.

This is a CCP problem that they refuse to even admit has anthing to do with them.

Funny thing is, I've taken every varible out, (new isp, traceing the route, different computer, new computer -nothing but windows and eve installed) and nothing fixes it. If it was on my end, the new computer would have solved the issue.

If they admit it's a CCP problem then thay would have to reimberse for the time people couldn't play due to being disconected every 5 mins. I.E. won't happen.

CCP Gargant: "total blanket no-tolerance policy was enacted on accusing the ISD of misbehaving" Who else said there people couldn't be accused of misbehaving? Nothing to see here, move along.

I hear ya man, its really frustrating. Its also the reason I won't be getting anymore game time. Today I logged on and was able to play for maybe two minutes before getting the socket closed.Evil Drives me insane.

I'm getting the same problem. Right now dling a VPN to see if its my ISP, its not an acc thing as both my current ones are having problems in my PC with one of the 2 ISP at my country. If VPN does not fix it Ill try the second ISP.
