Been away from the game for awhile so could someone update me on how we collect our planetary launches? Is there something new to collecting products off of planets nowadays. Any help would be appreciated.

there are 2 ways to collect your stuff from planets,,,1 just launch them into space and look in your journal for the bookmark,,,or 2 set up a launch pad to launch them into a customs office

This is pretty much it.

Also, you can bypass customs fees using the launchpad if I remember correctly. The downsides are that it does not give you nearly as much, and there is always that possibility of someone stealing it.

Customs can be sometimes more expensive (ie greedy players gaining control of them and jacking up the taxes), but it is a lot safer.

It actually costs more to launch from planet without a launch pad, and the limit is 500m3 (which is not much at all).

I would advice you to not even consider not setting up a launch pad on each planet. It offers a great amount of storage space and allows you to launch items to a POCO, both of which are things you will need to successfully do any degree of PI.

Also there's no way to transport materials back down to your colony without going through the Customs Office.

Some infos on planetary launches from CC...
- Tax is 15%
- only export
- boockmark is created on launch, the container is created when warping to bookmark, so only small risk s/o else will pick it up
- 500 m3 per launch ( this is CC capacity)
- as 500m3 is not enough storage for a PI setup, an extra storage is needed. Before launch items are transported to CC by expedited transfer. After launch, the next possible expedited transfer is affected by a time cooldown, which depends on the link capacity of the route between storage and CC.

Or the can exploded, you only have a few days before the can explodes and the bookmark is deleted.
