Help needed with a Vargur fit for lvl 4 missions

I don't get why you have an issue with it. Just fit three resists, and maybe an invuln, and you're good to go. I ran Angel Extravaganza the other day in a Maelstrom, and barely needed to use my shield booster.

This almost sounds as if highsec ganks are pvp worth of any consideration.

No, you don't suicide Vargurs like that. You need 5 (better 6, to be on the safe side) Tornados to gank it and that means the Vargur needs at least 1.5bil in modules to make it worth it.

And cap boosted pve is completely viable, I just put Navy 800s in there because I'm used to from fitting pvp ships. You obviously use normal 800s. The fit then proceeds to completely pound your fit into dust in L4s (while being cheaper too)

While I don't agree with the fit you're replying to you need to learn some game mechanics before you start calling out others.

All your advice in this thread is bad and wrong you should feel bad and wrong about it.


To contribute, I just can't justify flying a Varg over a Mach as much as I've tried. Not fitting prop is fail in a turret boat.

Looks like 605 dps tank for 5 mid slots, vs 620 dps tank for two mids and a damge control (XL booster, and one Invul) Seems like lot of watsed slots for so little bonus.
